What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

As a freind of someone that is current using I have come to this forum to better understand what
is going on with him. I have seen him make some choices that he very much regretted.

My question....
What have you seen others do while on Cocaine, that they really regretted doing.
Things they would not do while not using ??? Things that make one say...
"I truely can't beleive I did that".

I'm not talking about quantities or drugs used....

I'm talking about things one has Done or Said.

Re: What did someone regret doing ?

From the rules:

• Use descriptive Topic Subject. This will help others find what they want to read. Topics with bad Topic subjects may be deleted! - there's nothing more annoying than looking at all those stupid "A stupid question" subject lines. I mean, I'm damn lazy, but how hard is it to type "A stupid question about (insert something here)"? As a rule of thumb, most thread titles should include the full name of the drug discussed.

A rule many tend to forget will cause a mass of warnings soon...

SWIM has regretted anytime SWIM is the only one amongst a group of friends that does said drug. Not as much fun especially if some of those in the group aren't educated and like to scold.

SWIM left a gram bag inside art class in high school during a school reward ceremony. dont worry it was lunch afterwards and SWIM made it to the door before the teacher and snatched it before she saw.

SWIM never kicked himself in the ass harder before in his life

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

Cocaine is not like alcohol, users may feel a little more "untouchable" but they really don't make uncharacteristic desicions like drunk people.

Addicts, more appropriately abusers, can become really volitile, and untrustworthy people who are prone to violence and deception.

People say that if you pretend to be something your not for long enough eventually you begin to believe the lie. The same occurs when you use cocaine and feel "untouchable". If your constantly sniffing eventually you will truely believe that you ARE untouchable.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

SWIM always knows what she is doing when she's doing it. She knows what situations she's in, and how to handle them. Many times SWIM is doing them at work, using it to help her stay energized and focused.

SWIM is 110% that no one knows when she is or is not doing it or that she even does it. Coke isn't like that.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

SWIM only regrets lacking responsibility when it comes to timing CRASHES. SWIM once binged for 6-7 hours before a big date with current girlfriend. (date was more like a day spent together). SWIM had to postpone several hours, then needed support to finish recovering after said binge. SWIM is lucky to have such an amazing girl (who also uses), but next time SWIM will be more thoughtful of his crash duration and what interferes with it. It was a learning experience that changed SWIMs drug responsiblity for the better.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

SWIM professed his undying love to a co-worker!!! Sigh.... Cocaine = no loss in self-control & stimulation Alcohol = heavy loss in self-control & sedation Cocaine + alcohol = loss in self-control, and being wide awake and very talkative. It's the ultimate combination for making awful decisions. There's nothing worse than a wide-awake drunk.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

The last time a week ago SWIM told his female friend how much he loved her. Then SWIM had another gram which SWIM could ill afford. Then SWIM had unprotected sex.

Like DrGonzo describes to a tee. SWIM is still depressed about that event but maybe the next binge will sort it out. When SWIM is coked up, SWIM is a very silly boy.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

Yeah, SWIM has had his fair share of experiences involving cocaine and guns.... none of which were pretty... although one of his favorite quotes came out of them: "Dude, if you shoot my girlfriend, you'll owe me so much drugs." Funny story, that one... (feeling nostalgic) ...It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

em, ANYWHO...

Another regret of SWIM's isn't what he DID do, it's what he DIDN'T do: get it up. Goddamned coke dick. Needless to say, the comedown that night was hellish.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine and penile dysfunction

SWIM can get it up with coke - but only when shooting the stuff and only for about 15-30 minutes after the shot. SWIM can go limp almost instantly when the coke wears off and no longer feels any arousal or desire. During this time SWIM wants sex. After the arouised time all SWIM wants is another shot.

Both of these cause SWIM trouble.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

Coke makes SWIM really, really horny. Luckily SWIM's BF doesn't usually have a problem with that. Maybe it's because he's done coke for years and years and years. I don't know. But, it sucks when he can't get it um and SWIM just did a huge line.

as from swim, he regrets driving. i wouldn't say he's impaired, but its that sort of stupid risk that gets people locked up 'cuz they find a "usable" amount of coke on the person.

SWIM regrets driving high with cola in the car. Stupid, stupid, stupid. SWIM didn't get pulled over but was very paranoid and knew how stupid it was. SWIM has found though that being high doesn't impair driving (at least not the way alcohol does) but because of the paranoia SWIM won't do it again.

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

The one thing SWIM most regrets doing while high, would be agreeing to having sex with SWIM's gross, ugly, dealer..... safe sex, thank you jebus! but because of SWIMs verbal blow diarreah, SWIM had completely uncontrollable, dirty dirty DIRTIEST EVER talk, things SWIM had ever even dreamed of anyone saying...so disgusting the perviest man of time, would be like "HOLY MOTHER" and prob faint... PS, SWIM is high at this very moment, so she asks that SWIY can find it in your heart to forgive her for possibly creeping SWIY out...

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

SWIM regrets most the night time urge to indulge in a party session, driven by the feeling that tomorrow will never come. And then tomorrow comes, and SWIM finds that it is a work day and SWIM has had little to no sleep. The lure of the darkness is strong, and it is easy for SWIM to forget that real life will once again intrude when the illicit journey is at an end.

Too many times SWIM has fought wakefulness in those last, desperate hours. Tossing and turning, checking the inching hands of the clock, seeing the alarm's call come closer and closer. Regretting the over indulgence. Wishing for more.

The worst thing? Once SWIM was totally wasted after an all night session, and was supposed to fly across the US for work to go to a truly wonderful retreat in Northen California. A chance in a lifetime. But SWIM knew that SWIM was too far gone to board a plane and so invented a life threatening illness for a family member to get out of the engagement.

I'm sure anyone can imagine the sympathy that poured in for SWIM. And I'm sure anyone can imagine also the abject shame and self hatred SWIM felt in doing this. It was a lowest point in SWIM's life and SWIM promised to learn from it.

And yet now, a year later, SWIM is still abusing/exhilarating the demon cola. SWIM would like very much for anyone reading this to be warned; cola is insidious, crafty, two faced and very, very powerful. SWIM never imagined becoming a person that could be so in thrall to something, and to sink so low.

Beyond that, SWIM has been far more provocative, both sexually and with friendships, than SWIM would like. Whatever others say about control, SWIM finds cola destroys inhibitions. Those inhibitions are there for a reason, and SWIM is tired of waking up to correct the mistakes that seemed like certainties the night before.

Believe SWIM, the certainties one feels on cola are misguided, misjudged, and are the rantings of an arrogant pillock, if not an outright madmen.

Stay off the stuff!

Re: What did someone regret doing after taking cocaine?

The above post reminds SWIM of his worst experience on cocaine - the regret is in having done it at all that night. SWIM was out of town on business and looking for adventure one night, as SWIM often does. SWIM ended up in a bar on the dark side of town, also something SWIM often does. SWIM met some interesting people and was having a good time, when SWIM was offered some crack. SWIM had smoked crack only a dozen or so times, spread out over many years (although it was usually all night affair when he did). SWIM didn't like smoking crack, and only broke down when he was drunk and forgetful about previous times, like SWIM was that night.

The crack was the most intense SWIM had ever smoked, an absolute flying high. SWIM spent the next twelve hours chasing highs and smoking his life away in various strange parts of a strange town with strange people, until it dawned on SWIM that he had to catch a plane in two hours. SWIM quit smoking and within 20 minutes began the worst crash SWIM had ever had in his life. SWIM actually considered going to a hospital and asking to be knocked out or sedated.

SWIM somehow made it to the airport, confused and miserable at the prospect of the 3 hour flight coming up. SWIM hadn't slept in 24 hours now, and had spent the majority of it smoking crack and drinking, so he looked and acted like a deranged mental patient at this point. Airport security thought so too. SWIM was pulled out of line and brought to a private room by federal security agents. SWIM was absolutely sick with panic and withdrawal. SWIM was grilled about where he was going, what he had been doing, why he was acting the way he was, etc. SWIM's mind was absolute mush at this point, and his answers were not reassuring the security agents at all. Finally, it dawned on SWIM to just tell the truth in some degree (SWIM couldn't even remember what he had been telling them), so SWIM told them he was hungover as hell from an all night party, and just wanted to get in his seat and sleep it off. Strangely, security appeared to think that was reasonable enough and let SWIM go.

The flight home was a mental hell to SWIM. He got some alcohol, which helped, but SWIM just sat and trembled and agonized over the dangerous and insane situation he had put himself in that night/morning. SWIM never felt such uncontrollable mental anguish before or since.

The crazy thing was SWIM never liked smoking crack, or even doing cocaine for that matter. SWIM didn't like the loss of control while flying high on crack, he found the stunned euphoria was more scary and vulnerable than pleasurable. And real and actual excitement was seldom found doing coke, it was always just addictive, always expensive, SWIM was often violent, it was always too much. Looking back the next day, it was always a waste of time, energy and opportunity. SWIM regrets most of his far too many cocaine experiences, and dislikes that drug intensely.
