I've been reading about cannabutter a lot and for the water + butter + weed in a pot method, people have suggested boiling times from 30 minutes to 7 hours. What's the deal?

And also, some people say when you eat marijuana it's 3 times stronger than smoking, and other people say it's 3 times weaker.

SWIM always figures the longer the better, and often let's his butter cook for over 12 hours, sometimes up to 16.. The THC is probably out, though, after a few hours time.. Also, eating THC causes it to be metabolized into a more potent form, thereby making one's high usually much more intense than the same amount smoked. The way it comes on, however, is much slower and felt more in the body, rather than so much of a head buzz, as when smoked..

CannaButter prep.

This has been discussed elsewhere, but I will repeat.

If you simmer your butter/Pot mixture for 30 minutes, you will get 93+% of the goodies.
If you simmer your mixture for 2 hours, you'll get about 98% of the Cannabinoids.
If you simmer for 12 hours, you'll probably get 99+%.

My thinking: So what if I don't get-out every, single drop?
If you're only extracting a few Grams, you won't notice much difference.

CannaOil . . . easy to make.

Just use a vegetable oil.
Grind-up your Pot.
Pour some oil into a Mayo jar.
Toss-in your Pot.
Let it sit for a day or 2.
Shake it up once in while during that time.
Strain-out the flowertops.
Bam! It's done.

With the CannaOil, is it possible to make with the same method as cannabutter? Mix it with some water and boil it for half an hour?

My centipede made the cannabutter for it's first weed experience, but it's mom found it when it was refreezing it in the fridge (didn't know what it was, just dumped it out as he happened to be walking by, probably thought it was something that went bad). So ol' 100 legs is thinking it could make the CannaOil and store it in the shower-drain.

Oops, that just kinda slipped out. Could you edit that last post of mine?

And one thing I forgot, swiy gave the corresponding times and percentages of cannabinoids extracted for the cannabutter. Could swiy do this for the soaking in vegetable oil method (and also the boiling the vegetable oil too if possible)?

Oil is Oil. Butter is Oil. Both will work with the boiling method (and at approximately the same speed).
