Thumbs up Finally, A Long Lasting Pipe.
Swim got this a few days ago and absolutely loves it. Its called proto-pipe deluxe.. its very solidly built, with minimal parts and ridges to get clogged with resin.. plus it has a poker hidden that fits perfectly into the bowl holes to clean em. Also the top has a cover that slides over making it air tight and very nicely fitted (does not loosen with repeated use) Looks like this ones finally gonna last.. swim can feel it

A decent-looking device. SWIM also has the problem of his pipes fucking up within a few months, sometimes weeks, of use. This one may be worth investing in.

Is he/she constantly looking for a safety pin to clean out all those ridges where most pipes screw together? well no more.. Oh yeah, the ProtoPipe. SWIM's favorite "small" piece.

They are expensive (35-50€ in Germany), but so worth it... SWIM's is nine years old now, and only had the poker replaced once, two years ago. Quality, quality, quality.

SWIM is the proud owner of a protopipe. At first the cover was hard to slide but he applied some WD40 and everything works like a charm after a few good cleanings.
Also, SWIMS mother meet the designer of the protopipe deluxe and has been using the exact same pipe since the late 70's. She is on her 3rd pipe and lost the previous 2 only to stupidness on her own part I expect.

Well of course SWIM as well prefers glass to metal just as he prefers bongs to pipes. However one must make do with whats available and the brass protopipe is more available then other glass spoons thanks to its small size and handy stash that makes it alot more portable. The protopipe is a favorite for quick stashing in the pocket with a mini lighter for ultimate survival pocket pack. This of course is all in SWIMS opinion.
