Smoke fentanyl-plaster?

Here in Sweden we have a plaster called Durogesic (I guess it is available in other countries to, maybe under different name). It contains fentanyl, and is a retard-plaster, in the streghts 12 µg/h, 25 µg/h, 50 µg/h, 75 µg/h & 100 µg/h. Each plaster lasts in 72 hour, and the total amount of fentanyl in each plaster is:
12 µg/h: 2,1 mg
25 µg/h: 4,2 mg
50 µg/h: 8,4 mg
75 µg/h: 12,6 mg
100 µg/h: 16,8 mg

For a couple of yars ago, I was really depressed, and didn't care of my life. So I cut up a 50 µg/h-plaster, and drowned in 5 cigarettes in the liquid, let them dry, and then smoked them. All five was smoken within 3-4 hours. I got really high, but I can't imagine that I got all 8,4 mg fentanyl in me. That is far as deadly dose. I had not a mentioning opioid-tolerance.

A normal dose of fentanyl is about 100 µg, so where did the rest of the fentanyl go? Up in smoke?

Fentanyl patches (SWIM is guessing you mean plastic or patches, not plaster which is a chalky substance used to make virgin mary statues in Tiajuana...) are very dangerous. The margin between high and death (therapeutic index) is very narrow, and those patches contain a helluva lot of fentanyl. It is best to only use the patches as they were meant to be used - transdermally. A small mistake and SWIY will be dead. SWIY is correct that 8.4mg fentanyl would kill most people. probably only a fraction was vaporized, and most was burned. Good thing for SWIY...

Psychopatic: The fact that the drug was prescribed has no bearing on this.

This is an international community and there are places in the world where using a prescription drug in a manner in which it was not prescribed is illegal.

SWIMming (or referring to pet flamingos, capybara, tapirs or whatever) is non-negotiable.

Plus SWIY doesn't want to go giving ideas to anyone else. Taking fentanyl without controlling the dose and delivery is like russian roullette with a half-loaded revolver. Anyone trying this, even someone with a strong opiate tolerance, could drop dead. SWIM has known at least one person to OD with a fentanyl patch - they are simply not meant to be used that way. If SWIY really needs an opiate, find another one to use..

SWIM is actually surprised you got any hit at all. Interesting. European Durogesic with an "o", as opposed to US Duragesic with an "a" contains none of the smokable gel, and I would have thought smoking it in any form would've been a total non-starter. Many SWIMers have considered and investigated getting something smokable out of the patches you talk of, but as far as SWIM knew no one had succeeded. Still, as SWIMers above have stated - if these things are fresh out the pack and not post-medicinal use (when they are considerably safer but by no means harmless), you really are taking your life in your hands fucking about with them.

Smoking the gel out of these patches is possible, but SWIM does not think that a direct flame on the substance would be too effective. This may be the only way that SWIY has lived to tell the tale, since a more efficacious route of smoking fentanyl with the dose SWIY is describing would likely be fatal.

I am not trying to be a jerk or pick on a newbie by any means, but there is already a thread on this topic, and there could be some pretty dangerous suggestions made if this thread veers slightly in this course, so I am closing this one.
