Interesting post Swidude,
I don't know exactly how I feel about that, it does go against anything that NA or HA has taught me. However it is a realistic approach. Swim really wants to dip in again and knows he shouldnt but already has a date planned in his mind. Is this a bad thing? Should he abstain or is an occasional binge ok?

Swim knows exactly how Swiy feels. Swim keeps relapsing over and over. He wishes he had never, ever tasted the forbidden fruit. Once you know how good it is, it's already too late. Keep on tryin though. I'm kickin cigarettes. Bought some Nicorette gum today. It ain't a cig, but it helps. Neversober, hit me up one of these days. It's been a while since we've chatted. Keep on trying everyone. Love you all.

Re: Finally!! It's Time to Kick This Junk!! (opiates)

swim was doing opiates for a little over a year until just about a month ago, it is the hardest thing that swim has ever done, but well worth it, swim feels better now that withdrawal symtoms have subsided and swim also has a hell of alot more money for other things, hang in there and it will be worth it.

Re: Finally!! It's Time to Kick This Junk!! (opiates)

Yeah SwimPaul swim knows it is different than what is taught. But that approach isn't working for a lot of people. Swim doesn't disagree with it at all, but everyone is different and there's many ways to skin a cat or many angles to view things. the bottom line is that most of us swims will go back. Period. So why live in shame? Swim just thinks it's easier to moderate and remain in control than to bang your head off of the wall for a few months pretending to be cured, then fall into temptation and cry about falling. Swim isn't stupid nor hiding from the truth. What will probably happen is that we all end up taking more than we should and then regret it. Your right in saying that it is the forbidden fruit and once you taste it you ain't goin back. So what to do? We swim's can't just swallow as many as we want and let ourswim's tolerance go wacky, and weswims can't obviously stop cold turkey. So that's why swim says at least be in control and take it slow. It sucks. Swim fights every minute of the day. Every single #$%^ing minute. But swim knows the only other alternative is to spend a ton of money and be a slave every four hours. This is just swims two cents and swim will take any good advice. Keep in touch and good luck.

Re: Finally!! It's Time to Kick This Junk!! (opiates)

Hi there, congratulations to Swim above! I am new on this forum and very interested in subutex (see post: http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28053)
Does anybody know if it's possible to get subutex from a docter in Spain? I am staying in Andalusia for a year and would really like to switch from methadon to subutex.
