low confidence and anxiety/nerviousness

SWIM usually has very low confidence and nerviousness and SWIM alot of the time avoids talkign to people.
BUt SWIM is going to be joining a band that he is really dedcidated to doing his vocals.
SWIM knows hes good but once his low confidence and anxiety kicks in. He is afraid it will screw him up.
ARe there are things SWIM can take to either to calm his nerves or increase confidence.
SWIM is thinking about weed or low dose of alcohal or even dex.

SWIM has even heard little things like vitamin b or fish oil works. But for SWIMs nerves it is not good enough

I have untill saterday to figure it out.
SWIM does beleive he can increase self-confidence other ways that dont include drugs or something but those techniques can take weeks. I have 3 days. THis is why im looking for a quick fix in the mean time :/

If SWIY is looking for something natural SWIY could try Taurine, it gives SWIM some relief from anxiety without being sedative. A low dose of GHB would help boost confidence and help with anxiety. A Benzo like Clonazepam/Klonapin could help with anxiety but could leave SWIY sitting on the couch rather than up on the stage, benzos are also very addictive so do your research on them if SWIY decides to start with these. Talking about your anxiety with SWIY's Doctor would be a good start though, as there are many altenatives to drugs for managing anxiety and related issues (eg counselling or psychotherapy)

Phenibut is also an option if SWIY can't find GHB. But make sure SWIY takes the phenibut at least 2 hours prior to the time you need it, it takes a while to kick in.

Taurine is an amino acid that SWIY should be able to get at the local health shop. Phenibut is also legal (not sure about Canada but presumably) but it is likely SWIY will need to look on the internet to order this.

Cocaine might help build confidence but it can also cause anxiety..... especially the comedown.

swim knows quite a few people who are in a band. in fact, one of the people he knows does vocals and is actually very shy in person. he says that he is able to get into a "zone" where he can put the crowd out of his head. remember, swiy is doing this because he loves music (well, hopefully). so, just tell swiy to put himself into the song. closing his eyes might help, and often, stage lighting directly on the vocalist can help prevent him from seeing anybody not close to the stage.

swim would hope that it would be possible for swiy to cope with his fears without using drugs. swim has serious social anxiety but finds that conquering his own demons is far more rewarding than blurring the experience with drugs. then again, swim and swiy are unique individuals, so they might have different solutions for the same problem. best wishes on the performance.
