You may very well be right. This looks like Trichocereus. However there are over 400 Trichocereus species.

SWIM is uncertain about what this one is, but it's no San Pedro.

No if you look at the shape the ribs are too narrow, I am guessing Pilosocereus pachycladus or Browningia hertlingiana.

perhaps it is just malnurished? as swim had found it randomly around a bunch of ice plants which are very good harvesters of nutrients and are ALL around it?
