Re: acetaminophen toxicity???

I assume SWIY means he took 4350mg over a 24hr period rather than as a single dose. I would not be too concerned in you taking this as a once off and doubt it would do any lasting damage (as long as SWIY doesn't make a habit of it).

Your liver is located on your right hand side but you have 2 kidneys, one on each side.
If symptoms persist you should go to a doctor.

Re: acetaminophen toxicity???

Yes even though answered quite well by SWIabrad, SWIY has pretty much nothing to worry about. Now if SWIY made this a habit and or drank alcohol with this, it would most likely lead to worse problems, but this once should be fine. The pain could be caused by numerous factors, now if it still hurts by tomorrow afternoon, SWIY might want to make an app. with his local medical professional. In the mean time, drink ALOT of water.

Re: acetaminophen toxicity???

Swim would advise that no-one takes large amounts of apap like this as it can be very dangerous if one isn't carefull plus the damage to one liver is not good.

Re: acetaminophen toxicity???

Swim thinks is is not from the APAP.. Swim used to take very high doses of APAP b4 swim know about the liver issue. Swim probably took 6g+ APAP at one time, mixed with alcohol! How bad and stupid! This never seemed to cause swim any problems, but swim is much more careful now, swim wants to have a healthy life..
