Taking GBL on plane?

SWIM is travelling by plane to amsterdam from UK for new years. would it be possible or as stupid as i think to try and take gbl? SWIM would like to try some with shrooms etc

I'm not sure of drug laws in the UK/Netherlands but I presume GBL is illegal there, which means the penalty is probably jail if SWIY were caught smuggling it. Is New Years really worth risking jail over?

Does anybody know the exact laws for GBL in these two countries?

well, it was only recently that there were restrictions on even taking liquids on planes here i believe. and i dont particularily want to miss my flight, explaining what the suspicious liquid in my bag is!

Maybe SWIY could call customs to find out exactly how legal it is to take GBL from the UK to the Netherlands, that way SWIY can be absolutely sure that what they are doing is not going to be a problem.

Also SWIY needs make sure they use SWIM when referring to any drug that is illegal in any country as this this forum has members from all over the world, and what may be legal where SWIY is, may be illegal elsewhere.

Just don't put it in your hand luggage swim has taken and brought back all kinds of liquids recently, hair gel, aerosol cans, bottles of water, oils.
Anything goes as long as it is not in your hand luggage, i wouldn't pack it too close to your clock however...

Thanks for the advice.. I may well take some then. My sister wasn't even allowed a bottle of water in her hand luggage a while back, I'm not sure what they thought she was gonna do with it!

Like i said no liquid handluggage, sometimes they let you x-ray water, but not coloured or carbonated stuff, only clear bottles too. Good luck bruv...

GBL is a watched chemical in the UK and in The Netherlands as it is on the UN red list. So besides that it not a good idea to bring corrosive fluids on board, it can also become a customs problem.

If SWIM put it in his checked in suitcase. I know you shouldn't put flammable liquids in but would this apply for gbl? SWIM was thinking of putting it in a nail varnish remover bottle to disguise it. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks.

Whilst GBL *may* be legal or, more likely, as-yet-unscheduled in many european countries, it is ridiculously illegal in the Untied Snakes and, as a result of the, again ridiculously, long arm of the Feds et al, we discuss it on this forum as if it were, indeed, the devil's own nail varnish remover.

Short version? - No self-incrimination allowed even though a substance may be more rationally scheduled in the OP's country of residence.

An opinion? A nail polish remover bottle would probably be overlooked as, even if it is opened, it would still have a "chemical" smell to it.

But that is just an opinion. Not a guarantee. Or, for that matter, advice.

don't do it.. it would be stupid, to say at least.. SWIY could send a package with a normal liquid/gbl/ghb mix to your hotel or what ever?

trying to hide it in a different bottle would probably work, but SWIY would have real trouble explaining it if it gets found. At least in the original packaging SWIY can come up with some sort of excuse
