Re: Before and after meth pictures
Risk takers are the ones who go far passed anyone else, many fail but the ones who succeed win it all.
Lifes a risk, SWIM's done with meth, he came out on top, was it worth the risk? YES because he won, if he had lost, it woudelnt of been, but that doesnt matter, caus he did it. For the people who didnt make it, oh well their not SWIM, all that matters is he took the risk was happy and won thats all that matters, asking if its worth the risk for SWIM is living in hte past, the risk was taken and won, and would do it again. |

Re: Before and after meth pictures
For the average Friday night beer drinker, the picture below is the barmaid at the start of the evening and the picture above how she looks at the end.
As the saying goes "You don't go to bed with any pigs but by god you sure as hell wake up with a few"! |

Re: Before and after meth pictures
To my knowledge, most of these photographs were taken by an Oregon police officer when the county was overwhelmed by methamphetamine abuse. These people were becoming dangerously addicted at a point in time when meth potency was at its highest. There's some debate over whether the effects on teeth is directly related to the chemicals from the drug as they are inhaled, but the consensus is that the vast majority of the physical damage seen especially in these pictures is the result of poor hygiene after repeated, sometimes week-long binges on the drug. People don't shower, they get acne, they do more meth, and once the paranoia sets in the itchiness of all those zits starts to feel like bugs under the skin. So they pick at it, continue to not bathe, eat, or stay hydrated, and begin a perpetual cycle. Most of the physical damage is from prolonged neglect of hygiene, hydration, nourishment, and sleep. Since then the nationwide potency has greatly decreased.

Whilst meth is not the horror the media makes it out to be, over indulgence in amphetamines of any kind is going to be very bad for anyone's mental and physical health. We could do with more information about meth and the problems associated with it. |

This thread makes it overly obvious we are in need of a article that outlines and details the dangers of meth.

Re: Before and after meth pictures
Meth is bad if consistently abused. So is alcohol. Did I mention cigarettes?
Daily use will fuck you up. Save up for a bi-monthly binge.. Actually, "do what you want", but try not to make the same mistake moe than twice. |

Swibf always assumed this to have been nonsensical propaganda, but he decided to actually check it out moments ago. He was actually shocked and ashamed having only taken 3mos to do what had taken the first individual 3yrs; the beard is genuinely unavoidable.

Re: Before and after meth pictures
Swim has a real job, never misses a day of work. Swim is a Power Seller on eBay with 99.8% positive feedback from 250-300 or more items sold each month. Swim lives in an apartment with 2 roommates and 2 cats. Swim has no bills, doesn't have a credit card, and doesn't own a car. Swim eats 3 meals a day, plus snacking in between meals.
Swim does meth almost daily and has been doing it for 10+ years. Swim is healthy and does not look like a tweaker. Swim has gained weight and is considering going on a diet. Swim does not steal, lie or become obnoxious. The before and after pictures have no effect on Swim because it's nothing he sees in himself. Propaganda does nothing but annoy swim. When Swim stays up too long he looks terrible and knows it. Swim tries to sleep every night. Swim thinks that tweakers who steal are giving all tweakers a bad name. In reality you don't see how many daily users there are out there because they blend in. fit in with society that doesn't use. They are not going to stand up and be counted for fear of the Police. So like Swim. they go to work everyday and tell no one about their using. And no one asks, and as far as Swim knows no one knows (How could they given that Swim has been promoted twice) It's because the people who cause trouble are the ones who get noticed that meth has such a bad name. All the false information coming from the media and the government makes people think that meth is the cause of so many of America's problems. Swim wants to know if the problem tweakers would suddenly become upright citizens if the meth became unavailable. Swim believes the answer to that is no. That they would find some other drug or substance to abuse and would be acting just as radical as they do on meth. The thieves would still be thieves. The liars would still be liars. Meth causes behavior that was already there to magnify. Meth doesn't create liars, liars use meth. Meth doesn't make someone go out and steal. Thieves use meth. Meth doesn't make someone abuse their children, abusers use meth. Meth is attractive to such people because it makes you feel so good. You don't lose your morals from it, it helps you lose them if you wanted to in the first place. Swim always knows what he is doing when he is using meth. Not once did Swim ever do something he wouldn't have done without meth. Swim's values have not changed because he uses meth. People who use it and go out and commit crimes knew exactly what they were doing. Meth does not make you do anything. No one is powerless, they make the choice to use, they make choices as to what they do when the use. Blaming it on meth is a cop out and they probably have been making excuses for bad behavior all their lives. You can't use a big brush and paint all meth users with said brush. Meth is used by all kinds of people good and bad. Swim knows the difference and stays away from the bad ones. Never has Swim seen a good one go bad. It is all based on the person's values to begin with. What is unacceptable does not become acceptable when on meth. The before and after pictures do what they intend to, scare people. They try to make you believe that you WILL look like that on meth. Why doesn't our government spend more money on education that is fact based and non-judgemental rather than spending so much on the ineffective war on drugs? They make more money keeping it illegal than if it were legal. Money has everything to with it, making people's lives better has nothing to do with it. |

Excellent point swiTweakerman !!! Articulate well thought-out response......
swiS totally agrees, as he has been gainfully employed, pays his bills, even saves a bit. All this while maintaining a 10yr. Heroin(daily), Meth/Cocaine (weekly) habit. Not reccomending it for others, but two words: "Self Control" Make sure you eat, sleep, work, then you can play. Once again...excellent post swiTM....S |

Re: Before and after meth pictures
Meth contributes to wrinkles, loss of nasal cartilage, and midly in tooth decay....What you see is a constant exsposure to the harmful chemicals in meth and what meth allows you to do....Literally RUN off of that shit, most of those people probobly used for a few weeks and passed out, only to be found by police.

Re: Before and after meth pictures
^^^ LOL nice...
Question: Does crystal meth actually cause those facial sores? Or are those just pictures of people that got beat up and locked up in county, and are incidentally addicted to meth? |

Re: Before and after meth pictures
The chemicals escaping through the pores of a meth user often cause pimples, add to that the OCD tendencies of a person on meth and some will attack the pimples with a vengence. In these pics though it is likely they were beaten up also. Another reason for sores could be that they scratch at the skin because they think there are bugs under it (psychosis)

SWIM remembers one of his friends all fucked up on meth, who was hiding out at a hotel, and made this like document to give his friend because he was 100% positive that people were coming to kill him because he was going to expose them about something. He was so absolutely sure of that crazy shit, so SWIM can kind of understand how the bug thing could happen. Since SWIM is an H addict and understands all the stupid and/or completely untrue taboos about his drug of choice, which are spoken with the most absolute vehemence and certainty, he never ventured to say anything bad about meth although was kind of shocked by how much harm it appeared to do, the facial sores being one of the things. |

Re: Before and after meth pictures
Also when a person stays up for a long period of time their pores get rather large and open and don't close again until one has been to sleep. During this time if the person is smoking or not washing their face regularly the open pores get dirty which also causes pimples. So in a way it can also be attributed to the lifestyle of a person using methamphetamine, not just the toxins in the drug itself.

Re: Before and after meth pictures
Taking a hobo motherfucker meth addict on the street's picture one day and then a couple years later, you can't expect people to not look like that. How many people pictured are actually well adjusted, well living, "successful" people?
And show me 1,000,000 before and after pictures. If millions of people do meth and only a few look like this...Sign me up! Oh, and Swim would LOVE to be in a before/after thing to call bullshit on it. Rename the picture "before and after addiction" and not meth, and it's a little more accurate. |

Re: Before and after meth pictures
SWIM wonders how many of the after pictures were taken right after a raid and/or a scuffle involving the police? Most likely all of them. That being the case, imagine being dragged to a police station at 3 am (if you are asleep at that time) and taking a picture...SWIM does not know many people that are looking their best at that hour.
Imagine being beaten about the head, neck, and shoulders. Next, you get thrown into a squad car and get marched in front of a camera...not pretty. Then again, some people...just ugly. -Pope Albacore PS- SWIM would like to add that he noticed that the meth seemed to work wonders for some of the people's receding hairlines. At least the ones in lulz's post. Take that Hair Club for Men! |

That's some good old fashion down to earth Americanism right there: beating the shit out of drug addicts, taking their picture, then telling everyone that they shouldn't do drugs because a new medical study shows that they make your face all fucked up. Christ, it's so sickening and true that it's actually funny. |
