Swim finds the worst comedown is with LSA, the nuasea is really bad and Swim also gets a fevor.

It's methylone for SWIF, someone feels like the dopamine and serotonin is gone, he can come with one or the other! Same as doing cocanie and mdma at the same time. Comedowns are killers!

It is a close race with booze or speed. Both are killers, one reason swim don't do much of either anymore.

Cocaine can give nasty ones if one did alot, or especially if one did alot and stayed up all night.


Alcohol has given swim the worst hangovers ever, period. He has done some stupid things in his days, like drinking a liter bottle of Absolut at around 2500 meters altitude or so in less than 30 minutes, which led to a several day migraine hangover.

Worse yet than the dread migraine hangover from alcohol is the "Yo-Stomach's-Fucked!" hangover. Swim rarely ever gets this (he has a pretty good tolerance / ability to handle alcohol), but when he does.... Puking 4-8 times the day after drinking isn't fun. Swim remembers after New Years a few years ago he woke up feeling like crap, had a bowl of cereal, and saw the cereal projectile vomiting itself a good meter or two when he ran into the toilet after it felt like someone had smacked his stomach with a baseball bat! He then got to enjoy a nice meal with family friends. Well minus the meal, since swim ate a pea or two and a miniscule slice of ham and had to go puke again so he just ended up poking at his food wishing he was dead for a while. Not fun.

Plus with alcohol you get the added pleasure sometimes of not only feeling really shitty from being hungover, you can also get blackout and do very stupid things sometimes, so you get to wake up wanting to die AND get to play detective interrogating your friends to see just how you got kicked out of that one club...



Only other one on the list swim chose was amphetamines. He is currently pushing past 40 something hours with no sleep, no wait... yeah, something like that. It seems to be worse when he has to study long periods of time (see thread "Longest Study Session on Adderall) than when he just has to stay up for a while. Either way, stomach feels like crap, swim has aches sometimes, his brain is just completely zombified, and lots of other goodies. Hangover isn't really much because you sleep through it lol, or at least swim wakes up feeling fine, though the come down can be really bad, especially once you get to the hallucinations pont.

SWITC is quite suprised nobody has mentioned heroin's comedown.

When SWITC experimented with heroin and coke for some time, he often mixed the two. This mix produced the worst crashes of his life. As his habit went on with these drugs, the crashes just got worse and worse until one day when SWITC discovered his dealer was no longer accessible.

Thankfully, SWITC no longer has to worry about these hellish crashes because he now only uses LSD, Marijuana and RC's.

Alcohol, without a doubt can produce the worst comedowns I've ever experienced, very very close to a bad case of food poisoning, horrible drug.

Hangover? Well there's no doubt that (in the past) SWIJ has felt horrible after taking Ecstacy. Jittery stomach, low mood, anxious, nauseous, all of that. However she NEVER feels like that now. This is why she thinks it happened:

In the past SWIJ did not always test her drugs. She ALWAYS does now. She wonders how many of those "Ecstacy" hangovers were nothing of the sort and were actually speed related?

Secondly, SWIJ used to drink a great deal more than she does now, both during the roll and the next day: A lot of the way she was feeling was probably alcohol hangover more than anything else. In a similar vein, she used to stay up all night, not sleep, and not eat anything for more than 24 hours: Which can't have helped!

Another factor is probably that she used to take SILLY quantities of drugs. These days she never takes more than 100-150mg, followed 3-4 hours later by 75-100mg (still on the high side, she knows, but it works for her). She also manages the transitions better: Walks home from the club, puts on some less hectic music, something soothing on the TV (nature documentary with sound turned off), and so gradually winds down rather than crashing.

She is convinced that the fact that she hasn't taken benzodiazepines for years is also a contributory factor: SWIJ's weekends always used to end with large quantities of Valium, which meant there was added benzo hangover in the mix.

She also uses MDMA much less frequently than previously: 3 times only this year.

Sometimes she feels a little low on Tuesday/Wednesday, after a hectic weekend but it's in a reflective, rather melancholy way, rather than a miserable/depressed way.

By far the worst hangover is alcohol. She felt awful the first time she took cocaine, but that was probably more to do with with the 3 bottles of champagne she drank over the course of that evening.

LSD doesn't give her any kind of hangover, other than a peaceful, contented fuzzy glow, during which, for about 24-48 hours creativity is enhanced and she feels much more in tune with the world around her.

The worst comedown for swim is a tie between coke and mdma. coke just pisses swim off and mdma makes swim sad coming down.. but after taking either chem, he can never sleep

swim cant believe noones mentioned DXM. the mental near retardation, everything tasting like canned ass, and feeling detached from reality is the worst hangover swim has ever had.

holy fuck... swim hasnt touched it for sometime but when swim did use it, took it IV, usually 120mg's blast, prescribed as a child... comedowns make swim wanna put a fuckin bullet in head, waaaaaaay worse than any amphetamine in swims honest opinion

Swim has to say his worst comedown was when he finally stopped MDMA. He did it for a few months a couple times a week. He relaized he had a problem and stopped doing it. For a long time he had no feelings of happiness. Nothing seemed fun for him at alll. Even sex was a bore to him. I think this has ruined swim to this day. Cocaine is also bad especially after swim split 22 grams with 3 other people and did it over the course of 30 hours or so.

Even when he doesn't do alot so he doesn't have a really bad come down, if he is trying to go to sleep within a few hours of doing it and doesn't take something else to make it a speedball he will be lying in bed with his mind at the point of breakdown trying to coax himself into sleep. Its one of the most annoying feelings ever, especially when he has to get up early the next day. I think swim lost at least three hours of sleep last night from the point he got in bed alone because of coke comedown!

This may be an odd choice but swim is gonna have to go with the belladonna alkaloid (datura) for worst comedown. It's comedown is a mix of physical symptoms that make one wanna die, plus extreme mental anguish but even furthermore, swim told me because for the first day or so you are so out to lunch that you cannot possibly translate to paper or store to memory anything that is going on. Then just as it's easing off little bit and you can finally start to relay these profound thoughts and happenings, it is rather impossible due to the double vision and extreme visual distortions that follow for the next 2-3 days. And along with the dry mouth like nothing one has ever experienced, the shakes, and the overall slugishness that lags on well after baseline, this has been swims worst comedown.

Hm. Swim has never had any bad comedowns from RCs. They've all left a nice glow the next day, even when he took too much. Adequate sleep, hydration, and nutrition probably helped.

DXM is another one that usually leaves a pleasant afterglow. The one time he did have a DXM hangover, he had taken 16mg/kg to go to the 4th plateau and drank grapefruit juice to increase the ratio of DXM to DXO and smoked cigarettes to kick the trip up a notch. He must have been at the 6th plateau. It was a 24-hour trip with a 12-hour hangover; just extreme fatigue and general malaise.

His one crack experience left him shaking the next day; he had also been drinking a lot and smoking weed, however, so it was probably the combination.

His meth comedown didn't seem so bad; he thinks the days without food or sleep were more to blame for the shakiness and ill feeling than the drug itself.

Swim's most common - and most horrible - day-afters have been caused by nothing more than our old friend ethanol.

So far anyway, longer runs of cocaine use take the prize. SWIM is neither interested in nor capable of doing anything more than turning the TV to the automated weather channel... he finds the meaningless repetition, soothing female voice and pretty blue colors help keep the anhedonia at bay... a little bit anyway.

The only drug SWIM's ever had any serious crash from was cocaine. Even when he's thrown up or blacked out from drinking he doesn't get hang overs, and he has never had a real 'crash' from MDMA. But the comedown from cocaine was just one of the worst feelings of his life.

Ha! Yes! Swim loves that channel, too. Especially when he's tripping.

Swim definetly can relate to the power of the female voice. He also has a set routine he puts forth. Not just during bad comedown, but also when he gets the tell tale sign of a trip starting to go sour.

Swim grabs his portable music player with headphones (as it's usually late) and always has his soul lifted to a higher place by the voice of Elizabeth Fraser (singer for the Cocteau Twins).

Swim may not be a coke user, but he knows what you mean. He stayed at dorms for a couple of months and nearly broke down because of lack of sleep (not substance related, noise related).
The most depressing thing were indeed the birds, who make you realise that you are still not asleep. Pure psychological torture.

Swim got that this morning. Ugh.... Especially when you have to get up sometime reasonable so no passing out for a long time. Just laying down and trying to fall asleep but unable to because of the coke is terrible.

A few days ago swim did yay and needed to sleep an hour and a half later so he took a few Sonata (Zaleplon) which just ended up with him trying to go to sleep but unable to and lots of crazy open and closed eye hallucinations that ranged from freakishly bizarre to plain malevolent. Then after that wore off swim was still awake and couldn't sleep so he just had to sit through the come down until he reached the apex of crappy withdrawal and tired feelings after which his mind and body were worn out enough to let him somehow block them out and pass out.


Alcohol can be bad the day after, but cocaine is swim's least favourite come down by far when he combines it with staying up through the night.
