Soon to be a rise in LSD usage/availability? (UK)

Now i don't know about america but in the UK its no secret that there's rising popularity and interest in psy trance music over here. I was wondering what everyone elses thoughts are on this and whether LSD use has been rising over the past year or so. Will acid be hitting big soon?

As a side note any of you lot in the UK going to antiworld this year?

Rise in popularity of psytrance music? Nice.

At one goa party round these parts I stood behind Juno Reactor at the bar once, but didn't recognise them only afterwards.

SWIF is planning on going to Antiworld this year among other events.

SWIF thinks that acid is already here, it's just not quite as popular as MDMA OR cocaine.

Re: Soon to be a rise in LSD usage/availability?

SWIM hopes that the rise in popularity of this music will bring Cid forth in quantity but does not honestly believe it. Basics, most drugs are bought from criminals and fund crime. they sell stuff to make money, easy money, and other things are in much greater and wider demand, as well as being easier to keep, and produce. of course its also non addictive. Things such as speed, coke, weed, and XTC will line the dealers evil pockets much more easily SWIM thinks. So unless in very privileged circles or the friend of a good good friend SWIM does not think Cid will be common place for some time, still worth keeping hopes up thou.

In the US, if anything I'd expect an increase in the number of shysters selling DOx on blotter representing it as acid.

The demand for lsd is certainly getting higher in my area of the world over the past couple of year. It's much easier to find now but I still never see it being sold at raves or anything like that yet

Swim's public housing crack distributor down the street sells blotters as well as MDMA according to a low-level dealer swim was talking to. Swim was very suprised because black urban street dealers pretty much only sling coke and heroin (and obviously weed). Swim hasn't sampled said merchandise, partly because he doesn't trust them and partly because they don't sell to white people (too much potential police hazard). The prices were pretty cheap as well. But acid must be getting somewhat popular if it's being sold in this venue.

Re: Soon to be a rise in LSD usage/availability?

Well Swim is hoping that on 07/07/07 Acid will really hit big in the UK could be took optimistic tho hahaha. He just hopes that on that days he'll wake up like a child at a candy store with a selection of substances around him. Swim has no reliable source of LSD at the mo' just the occasional hits from his friend living down south.

Re: Soon to be a rise in LSD usage/availability?

LSD is the greatest recreational drug in the world! Everything else compared to it is shite!! Problem is, a: precursors are expensive, b: precursors are extremely hard to obtain(especially in the us), simply put, theres just not enough to go round. Add to that the legal risks involved, and what is around is subject to inflation.

Actually the best recreational drug is not LSD. it's Cannabis for daily use. LSD is far to demanding to be of much use in a crowd these days with MDMA and 2C-I old old news.

Now if LSD wasn't the #1 thing no one, NO ONE, wants to be caught with. like, if it was something like 100mg LSD under the analog act then fuck yea!

Lol, yeah swit is willing to bet if you buy it youll just be ripped off. I bet hes got that "hydro" full of seeds, and smashed to hell too. lol Most likely, youll get a piece of construction paper. Or an excedrin, with a big E on it. lol

Beeker: Your absolutely right pot is the best daily rec drug. Heh, 2C-I. More hype than glory. LSD is the base for which all hallucinogens are compared to. MDMA, and all methamphetamines, in swits opinion, are crack compared to LSD.

LSD, to SWIM, is the perfect drug. SWIM doesn't like any others. Where SWIM lives, LSD is pretty damn popular, SWIM has about 5 sources with constant supplies.

Where in Australia do you live? The ashes are back where they belong, baby!

Who here thinks LSD will ever cause another revolution like it did in the summer of love in '69? I wish more people would experience it, while I respect others' choices, I sometimes pity the people that are too close-minded to try acid.

Re: Soon to be a rise in LSD usage/availability?

I wouldn't be very surprised if there was a large increase in the availability of LSD within the next decade. Technology is advancing rapidly and more people than ever have the qualifications/ability to synthesize LSD. A lot of these people may be puppets but for every few thousand puppets, there will be a few radical thinkers.

The world is also changing. The first psychedelic boom of the 1960s cannot be the last. Further decline in global politics will eventually force the young people of some future generation to get away from the mind-numbing world of television and garbage popular music to discover that there is more to life than the mundane. Unfortunately however, the powers that be may well be able to clamp down upon this psychedelic rebellion just like they did before. One can only hope that things can be done right the next time.

Re: Soon to be a rise in LSD usage/availability?

If your working from lysergic acid, synthesizing LSD isnt really too difficult. Rotary evaporation, is relatively easy, turn on the vacuum and let er spin. Chromatography on the other hand, is pretty tedious. Requires practice that would probably be tough to teach yourself. Consequently, both techniques you probably wont be learning formally until graduate school. At least it was in swit's curriculum. Undergrad oc only went as high in the lab as vacuum distillation (class 3 distillation). In a nutshell, if you want a pure product, youll need to have experience in more relatively advanced techniques. This would explain all the amber that has been passed around over the years. Now that Lenny is spending the rest of his life in prison, et/la is nearly unobtainable. Crazy that most of the worlds LSD/precursors, was supplied from a relatively small group of people for so long huh? Luckily it has not faded away, and will not ever fade away!

roserjoe: of course, you live in australia. A certain sound technician has made that his place of residence, wink wink, spin spin.

Question: what do you do when you see a bear in australia? lol

Btw, heat, oxygen, and light, are factors involved. LSD is a very sensitive molecule, however these factors can be worked around relatively easily, if you keep good lab practices. Simply change lighting, and work under vacuum/inert whenever possible.
