First time opium: how and much?

How much should SWIM smoke for a good euphoric high? Is a gram a half enough for three people? How should SWIM smoke opium? Joints? A bong?

Opium is usually optimally vaporized. Take a small amount and heat it from beneath, and chase the dragon by pulling the smoke through a straw from overhead. There are glass pipes that could work like this, but if nothing else, SWIY could smoke it off of aluminum foil. Bongs or joints would probably not work well.

SWIM doesnt know the exact measurement of opium to use, but smoking allows the user to titrate the dose nicely and effects come on fast, so take a single hit, and wait a few minutes to see how it treats SWIY. Work SWIY's way up SLOWLY though because opium can be fatal. If others know of the exact dosage to use, by all means post it! Its been years since SWIM has seen real opium.
