The Ayahuasca brew is among the most significant of the ritual plant complexes occurring throughout the Amazon basin. Since time immemorial the indigenous people of the forests have combined the tryptamine-rich leaves of Psychotria viridis or "Chacruna" with sections of the jungle liana Banisteriopsis Caapi, the Ayahuasca vine, to yield a powerfully potent entheogenic drink called Ayahuasca or Yagé.

Usage
Fresh or dried leaves are mixed with the vines or the husk of Banisteriopsis Caapi and cooked. The preparation is drunk as Ayahuasca.
This plant contains DMT.

People say when using psychotria in the boiling process to add lemon juice to help seep out the dmt from the leaves.

I have dont it twice once without lemon and one with , the one with lemon juice was definatley stronger.

thanks for the input Darthcarlos. I was thinking of making an ayahuasca
brew some time soon. Psychotria is what i will be using and without you
i would have never used lemon and would probably not be satisfied (it
takes a powerful trip to satisfy me)/
