Re: )))Growing tips(((((
the first thing you need to think about is lighting are you going to use flouresents or are you going to put it outside in the summer and inside in the winter? swim likes to use flourecents you should put the light about 12 inches from the tops of the cactus. You will need a timer set it to 16 to 18 hours of light per day.A tip especially for growing outside i snot to put them under direct sunlight at first, keep them in the shade and then slowly let them have more and more sunlight. If the cactus starts to turn areddish brown coulor that means its getting sun burnedso put it back in the shade, if it stars to turn a yellowish green coulor then give it more light. If you are growing indoord bottm heat is a good idea, you should also put them in seperate pots BUT NOT RIGHT AWAY peyotey does not trans plant vey well so give them atleast 6 months before you transplantput them in 6 to 8 inch round unglazed clay potsmake sure the soil has really good drainage maybe put some aquirium gravel on the bottom. As far as wattering goes you should water them once or twice a week depending on how dry they get between waterings.ITs also a good idea to some cactus fetalizer i use shcults cactus liquid plant food, if you cant find that excat bran i has to have low nitrogen otherwise it will burn the shit out of your cactus a good ratio is 2 nitrogen 7 potash and 7 phosphourus. dont just start using it at full strength, its probably agood idea to dilute it to half strengh and go up slowly from there. You should only fertalize every second or thid watering because you dont want fertalizer salts bulding up in you soil because its going to be in that pot for a long time. You also shouldent fertalize for atleas a month after transplanting.
Well wim thinks he said most or what you need to know but if you need to know anything else dont hesitae to ask |

Re: )))Growing tips(((((
yes this will work as long as you overlap the colums that bring nutrients and water up through the cactus so that there is two points touching on either side its also a good idea to have san pedro and peyote that are the same age but it is not necesary
