Salvia Divinorum Trip Sitter Rules/Advice

SWIM has recently delved into the world of Salvia and has noted on many of his experiences that the minder destroys what SWIM is trying to achieve. SWIM now tells his minder what he wants of them before he tries Salvia. So this is a set of rules for the minder to enhance SWIY's experience, a bad minder can make a bad trip. But first to the person taking the Salvia picking the minder to watch them:

1. the person should be someone you know fairly well or who you are friends with.

2. you want to be sure that person isn't a dick or person to play stupid practical jokes to mess around with you.

3. they should have some knowledge / experience with recreational drugs or salvia in particular. Although this isnt essential, it is preferable

Now, to the Sitter:
1. You should be by yourself, (ie. the sitter should not have company, the only people in the room should be you (the sitter) and the person taking the salvia) multiple sitters usually crowd a room, and too many people are scary for the person on salvia. If you are talking with a person while someone else is tripping they may be pulled out of their experience trying to listen to your conversation. Which they will inevitably fail to do.

2. The person who has taken Salvia cannot communicate with you DO NOT speak to them to ask them what they are experiencing. This will only serve to pull them out of the experience.

3. Try not to stare at the person tripping. Salvia can induce immense paranoia and just looking at a person can cause them to think something is wrong. It may even be a good idea to sit out of sight of the person tripping if this is possible.

4. If the person is looking at you trying to say something you can at this point disregard rule 2 and calmly tell them to "sit back and let the Salvia take them". This is all you should say, nothing more.

5. Don’t invade the person’s personal space; this can set in the paranoia. People may well strike out if you get too close to them, so don’t.

6. Don’t leave the room and don’t invite anyone else in.

Remember for those trying Salvia for the first time to communicate these basics to your sitter, you will enjoy your experience immeasurably more this way.
