Ephedrine HCL

SWIM was wondering if people use Ephedrine HCL for recreational use. SWIM recently obtained some and he was wondering if it can be used as a stimulant, because he doesn't really know what HCL part means. How much should he take?

HCL means it's the hydrocloride salt of ephedrine.

It can be used recreationally, although the high feels a bit dirtier than cocaine or amphetamines, and euphoria may not be present at all, or present only in small amounts. SWIM says try 25 mg for the first time or no more than 50 mg depending on body weight.

Swim personally loves ephedrine; however, it is rather subtle. A tollerance is also quickly built, swim finds that the pleasurefull tingles dissappear at the slighly sign of tolerance ... However, for the occational party ephedrine plus some caffeine, and maybe yohimbe works quite well

A number of Ephedrine based fat burners i would imagine are suitable for recreational use. Depends what kind of high you enjoy. I've used Hydroxycut Hardcore which has a very potent mix of Ephedra, caffeine and other herbal stimulants. Swim would say the feeling is quite like 'coming up' on an E, the initial rush and breathless-ness. I actually felt ill and really irritable when even slightly exceeding the dosage so i haven't pushed it.

Ephedrine does this SWIM also. It gets SWIM nauseous in higher doses (50mg and above). The drugs is a valuable weight loss tool. SWIM has known many people who have lost in excess of 40 lbs using ephedrine.

Ephedrine is a good stimulant if you want to be alert, lose weight, study or exercise. It is a great supplement to take before weightlifting.

SWIM can buy ephedrine over the counter in the USA (actually..it is now BEHIND the pharmacists counter) without a script. It is available as pure form in several bronchodilator and asthma products.

SWIM used a well known, new on the market and very potent fat burner designed with body builders in mind for shredding the last bits of hard to shift fat. Also in this supplement are high doses of caffeine and many other stimulating herbal ingredients. SWIM actually felt as if they were 'rushing' too much to do any training and felt reletively weak. However SWIM believes that taken correctly for recreational use it could probably have good effects. SWIM experienced dilating pupils, light headed-ness and relative euphoria, similar to low dosage XTC.

Be careful though, ephedra/ephedrine can put a strain on one's heart. thats why they took it of the market. If one plans on using ephedrine/ephedra, try not to use with other CNS stimulants because a combo of these can cause health problems from even one time of use. Do NOT use ephedra/ephedrine too often, but every once in a while should be fine for one's body.

Has ephedrine not been cleared for use and put back on the US market again due to lack of substantial evidence? I would have thought it would be banned in Europe and the US if it was potentially immediately harmful to a persons health? Then again i could be wrong!

Ephedrine/ephedra has been identified by the FDA as a substance which can cause health problems with often or even semi-often. It can be used in herbal supplements, but most company's do not use this in their products due to FDA warnings and such. Ephedrine used to also be used as a vasoconstricter but was then replaced by pseudoephedrine because of the FDA. This is in the US, and SWIdr is not sure about other countries. Luckily the DEA has not put this on their "List", so ephedra/ephedrine is still legal, just not used in many products.
