Snorting Codeine

After doing the whole CWE procedure, then letting the water evaporate, SWIM was wondering if you could snort whatever amount of codeine you're left with. Would that actually have an effect?

Personal experiences would be very helpful.

one probably could, however take this into account: codeine must be metabolized to morphine by the liver in order for it to have an effect...meaning codeine on its own will not cross into the brain and get swiYou high. snorting circumvents the first pass metabolism in the liver, which would happen from an oral dose. Therefore it would actually DECREASE the effect if snorted. codeine has high oral bioavailability anyway, so just eat it, snorting would likely be a waste of drug.

SWIM normally snorts on a every day basis. Personally, SWIM thinks after he starts taking it this way it almost becomes a mental high. SWIM can agree that there is somewhat of a loss but for SWIM it's different. Crushing, chopping, the drip, & making lines then taking it through the nose becomes a "fun" process. Most of the users hear are probably thinking this comment is the most ignorant thing when it comes to drugs. For SWIM it's almost like the same way a Herion user has their own methods and preparation. SWIM shares with other FROGS that way no one goes without. Around here SWIM & FROGS have made it the only way to take pain killers.

Can anyone else relate? Does anyone else do this?

Mowgli can see the "fun" attraction of it, actually!

Mowgli personally prefers to milk every last drop of drug out of his intermittent supply, and if it involves methods of ingestion he's not particularly happy with, so be it.

Besides, Mowgli has never snorted anything (apart from sherbet sticks when he was 14 and crazy), and doesn't like the sound of it.

Swim totally understands swiy's post. Swim is addicted to coke and she has been clean from it for a few weeks. Part of the enjoyment of coke for swim was the process of grinding it up and making lines and the process of snorting it. She didn't like the nasal problems that came along with it though - those got so unbearable that she moved to smoking it. After swim was high as a kite I don't think she really even was snorting every 20 mins to get high because she couldn't feel the high after snorting anymore (after about hitting the 1g point) but she loved the process of making the lines and snorting them. Once in awhile she even grinds up one of her t3's and snorts it - it doesn't feel good cause she doesn't get extract the codeine, just snorts the line and she knows it isn't as effective but she loves the process. So yes, swim totally understands and she doesn't think what swiy said is ignorant or anything. 1/2 of swims addiction is chemical, the other half is the habit and the process.
