Smoking - Crack pipe, lip protection ideas!

Well in the past, SWIM has had a tendency to burn his lips even on a glass straight shooting classic crack pipe from hitting it very hard. So whilst in a crack binge with burnt lips, SWIM got creative, he cut a 1 inch(maybe a bit less) wide rectangular peice of an old towel, and wrapped that shit around the bottom of the pipe, and tied string around it and then hit that shit till his ears rang, over and over... swim had the ego inflation and thought he was the smartest person ever for coming up with this... cocaine will do that to you, making you think your the shit... any other suggestions from SWIY to pass along to swim for this weekends events

Don't hit the pipe so hard, let it cool between hits, etc. Seems like a towl would burn eventually, or at least get really hot as well. swip has seen people put the glass tube at the end of a 6 inch rubber hose. fit so tightly though could just hold the hose and hit the end of the hose when the glass was red hot.

Just a newbie fromTexas with a suggestion that swim does, find a pen with a rubber finger grip. Take apart the pen and put the rubber piece on the end of the pipe. If it is just a bit too small run the rubber piece underneath hot water to stretch. If it is too big wrap the end of pipe with electrical tape then put rubber piece on top. Sometimes you get the perfect fit right away, and hey you can even get cool colors. Swim has pink!

SWIY OP is to be commended for even considering this topic... SWIM often found all thoughts departing his head once he'd acquired all the necessary items to take a hit.

A good related topic is protecting the hands, as over time that can become an even worse situation than the lips. It would be weird to put on tight fitting leather gloves before hitting, but probably better than hands covered with blisters & black smudges. Unless SWIY actually considers that a mark of being a rock smoker, which might not be that unusual (some street dealers definitely do).

Ok, SWIM has LOTS of excperiance with this topic. First off, a metal pipe (tire gauge) is best for BIG hits. you know the kind you can hold forever and still give huge charges to 2 people. But you have to wrap the end with black electric tape. Enough to place your lips and fingers on. Oh, and dealers And cops look for calluses on your thumb and first finger from striking the lighter.

Trust SWIM, he has hit his metal pipe so much that he could actually taste the black electrical tape. He tried to take it off but it was pretty much melted to the metal itself. And he was even lighting it from the right end

swim uses if the pipe gets to hot some carton. to protect the lips but glasspipes are not her favority swim says she likes metal(hashpipes) more.

^^^ SWIM would think almost every other swim on this board who has smoked rock will tell you it's not always that easy to just put it down and wait. For some people, yes, it can work, but most will be loading up the next hit while the pipe is at least kinda warm.
