In swims opinion swim doesn't think 120mg would be too bad for someone who has no opiate tollerence, but to be safe just try 90mg first. Swiy can always increase it if needed.

120 mg may be safe is SWIY has a bit of tolerance. Even if SWIY doesnt, 120 mg MAY be safe, but this is less certain. Nausea could occur, especially if the product contains acetaminophen. 90 mg to start with, and maybe having 30 mg available to up the dose if no effects are felt in 90 minutes might be a better, and safer idea. Codeine and morphine have relatively low safety indices (a ratio of the effective dose vs. a lethal dose) compared to some other opioids, and SWIM is guessing DHC would fall into this category too, although he is not sure. But it never hurts to err on the side of caution.

SWIM felt borderline effects at around 90 mg when he tried DHC, but he has always been somewhat of a hardhead when it comes to opiates (e.g. when he had zero tolerance to them, it still took him about 20 mg hydrocodone or 800 mcg fentanyl to feel appreciable effects.) 90 mg of DHC could very well be the proper dose for SWIY.

Swim has found 180mg to be a nice dose but that is pure DHC and swim has a little tolerence.

good to hear that SWIY had a successful experience with them and enjoyed the DHC! A good rule of thumb is to multiply the DHC dosage by 2 in order to get a rough idea of how much codeine to take. However, this conversion is not exact. For the first time, perhaps aim for 90 to 120 mg codeine, and then later on other trials SWIY can use the multiplication technique.

SWIY probably already knows this, and SWIM doesnt mean to sound preachy, but be careful of the addiction potential, even with weaker opioids like this. Set strict limits of how often SWIy will use, and for how long he'd like to be intoxicated. Weekly or less is usually pretty safe. If SWIY finds the opiates creeping into his life to the point where he is using them daily or almost every day, then it is time for a break. Opiate addiction is insidious and sneaks into people's lives without them realizing it, which is why setting limits is so important.

Yeah, no doubt. After battling an opiate addiction for 7 years, I would suggest NEVER making a daily habit out of it. It really creaps up on you, that is for sure. You never see it coming, hell comes quick with the opiates. Heroin, Oxys, even codiene, which is where it started for me. I am too through with all of em....be careful. Just my humble opinion...not preaching, just sharing my experiance.

Yeah swim uses dhc daily but it is SO hard to stick just to 240mg.

swim used dhc for the first time a week ago and swim is a small female (5'2 and 110lbs) and swim was rather foolhardy and took 5 pills which equals 150 of dhc. swim found the effects to be pleasant but not as euphoric as swim would like, therefore swim is looking for opportunities to try stronger opiods though i have advised swim taht this is rather risky but she just wont listen!

codeine and DHC are generally regarded as weaker, more body high opiates/opioids, for SWIM they generate less euphoria and more a warm/fuzzy body feeling and somewhat an absence of thought. The more powerful opioids generally give SWIM a greater euphoria and mental high, very little somatic highs at all.

For what it is though, DHC isnt bad in SWIM's opinion. He has seen lab rats with chronic pain syndromes use it to treat spinal and stomach pain, and stave off withdrawal symptoms when they were unable to fill prescriptions for stronger opiates (morphine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, etc.) Recreationally it may not be the strongest high, but it can be fun to ingest and then go for long walks or go to parks, stores, or even do touristy things if one is travelling. Its a mild background high that can accentuate certain experiences without totally taking them over.

DHC is very addictive ISO (In Swims Opinion) Swim got addicted physiclly within no time at all. He couldn't get out his bed in the morning because he was in so much pain, he had to chew down at least 3-5 90mg slow release pills every morning and lie in bed till the pain would go away and he could get on with his day.

Swim used to enjoy DHC for the high but it does nothing for him now, his body needs it more than anything. He was getting 240mg's a day but has now cut down to 120mg and he gets a lot less sides now when he runs out.

Swim was crazy and taking doses of upto 1600mg plus benzos and was lucky to score some morphine and oxycodone now and then.

Now Swim has done it all from extracting codiene pills to IVing heroin and getting of his face on methadone.

Was it worth it HELL NO. I'd have my old life back anyday. Sorry for the rant, I just think people should take any opiate as serious as the next one and more important their life and the people around them.

Swim agrees with this, rats be careful Swim finds it VERY easy to use bigger and ever increasing amounts.
