Mailing / Flying Cannabis - Rumors?

A rumor has been widely circulated that modest quantities of medical marijuana packaged in a vacuum seal bag can be sent via USPS mail if the aroma is masked with coffee beans. It was also rumored that if the sealed bag's exterior was washed with a solvent such as alcohol or naphtha that the aroma would be even better concealed. SWIM has trouble believing this rumor is true and feels that mailing even a small quantity of medical marijuana via USPS is at great risk for being detected.

A second rumor which seems even more unbelieveable is that a similarly modest sized, sealed and washed bag of cannabis could be transported on SWIM's body when flying from one coast in the US to another. SWIM thinks the other SWIM is just plain crazy.
