NZ - Party pill ban rejected
22/10/2006 15:04:03
Do not ban party pills, just remove them from the public eye. National MP Jacqui Dean is spearheading a campaign to clamp down on sales of party pills, but says a straight ban is not the answer. Mrs Dean says we cannot eradicate the pills because of their availability on the Internet. She says banning the pills will just send them underground, and she thinks the answer is removing all advertising of them. Mrs Dean has a petition on the matter which is currently being considered by Parliament's Health Select Committee. She says there is growing evidence party pills carry substantial risks and side effects. Source: http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/newsdeta...storyID=106069 |
