Drug Flashbacks in Dreams?

Ever since SWIM took 2C-E, swim gets that feeling when your on psychedelics. SWIM believe its called "pulling", where you get that really weird body feeling that comes in waves. SWIM has gotten it on every psychedelic he has had. He remembered getting that feeling in the days following, in his sleep, usually in his dreams before he wakes up, or when he wakes up a goes back to bed. SWIM once thought that this was simply part of his dream, just like when he feels pain, happiness, sadness, confusion, etc in his dreams. But now SWIM thinks he is having flashbacks. Has anyone who has taken 2C E hada similar experience?

Swim gets LSA flashbacks, last time he got one he was in the middle of a lecture and had to tell the guy on the left of him to make sure he didn't do anything stupid and he then just put his head down and let it pass. But no, never in dreams.

swim gets dxm flashbacks sometimes when he wakes up dissociated for like a minute then snaps back to reality. wierd.

Flashbacks are life's way of making sure you get your money's worth. Annoying as they can be. SWIM finds flashbacks a pain unless he is in bed and can enjoy them but in the middle of a lecture. Yikes! SWIM wouldn't enjoy that too much

Na, it was kind of cool, his professer spoke to Swim afterwards and said "Look, that flashback you had, it was ok, but try not to think about anything that may trigger them, at least not in my lectures." He was cool about it.

Swim has often found himself having odd dreams in the days after a trip. Almost as if he was still in touch without whatever the hell one is in touch with when on psychedelics or dissociatives. Tripping in a dream is a strange experience.

One of the weirder moments was when he decided to go to sleep while still tripping on 2C-E and cannabis. He laid down and watched all of the wonderful, colorful CEVs for awhile. Next thing he knew, it was four hours later. He felt refreshed, as if he had slept, but never actually lost consciousness. It was just tripping the entire time.

He has found that meditation can take a trip to the next level. He wonders if just going to sleep during the peak leads to some of the transcendent experiences others have reported - perhaps they fell asleep without realizing it. *smirk*

SWIM had a few dreams in which he thought he was tripping on LSA. In the dreams, he even told himself: "i'm on seeds, I know it."

One of these dreams was by far the most mind bending dream to ever experience. It was just so lucid, seemed so incredibly real. Waking from this dream, he thought he had eaten LSA, snuck out, come back to sleep, and that he was still tripping. He went back to sleep minuets later, and then awoke again (~1 hr later). Laying in bed, for a good ~30 minuets, he still thought he was high. This dream was 2 weeks after his last psychedelic digestion, which was LSA.

SWIM has had a few DXM flashbacks during dreams, where he felt the beginning of a euphoria, altered sense of time, visual strobing, and in his dream he even had the infamous "robo walk". This was mostly during lulls in a time of high use, SWIM would trip once every couple weeks, and in between trips he'd occasionally get these flashbacks.

SWIM has also dreamt of trying and experiencing different drugs, some of which he has never tried in real life. Everything from alcohol, to PCP, to heroin. Interestingly, he had dreamt of trying heroin and cocaine long before he had ever used them. When he finally tried these drugs, the effects were similar (although not identical) to those felt in his dream!

This is interesting from a pharmacological standpoint, since it shows that the brain is capable of creating the effects of seemingly any drug on its own, without any external help! It adds credence to the statement that drugs dont do anything the brain can't on its own, that drugs just speed up the process. But it also leaves the possibility open to train ones self to create intoxicating experiences, if only we knew how to trigger them.

What sort of stimuli could occur during sleep that would trigger flashbacks? Do SWIY's dream flashbacks occur during particular times, when sleeping in a particular place or position, at a certain times before or after life events? Investigating the commonalities of one's environment, personal history (including stressful events or drug use), physical and mental state, and the contents of the dreams themselves may help shed some light as to why these are caused. Such research would very well take a long time, but why not start right here in this forum? What common threads tie SWIY's drug flashback dreams together?

When swim was in prison, they would get flash backs of going to score and in the dream swim would always get as far as scoring and would then wake up. This used to annoy swim no end as they never got as far as taking the drugs.

swim had a dream he popped some acid on a boardwalk with his mate, he soon started to feel uncomfortable and woke up tripping face. swim took nothing prior to this experience for a week but had taken a heavy 50mgs dose of 2c-b a week or so back and the trip was very 2c-b like or so he said.

apparently the purple red pixalation was present in his visual field, a neon blue seemed to be climbing his walls like a shapeless life form and complex geometric patterns were present when eyes were closed. Swim has had a few distortions but this is the only experience that was a full on 6 hour pyschedelic experience with no substances ingested...

to say the least it was quite shocking for swim.

SWIM can hallucinate just by thinking about psychedelics so I think your mind has a lot of power over your dreams

well its not like a dream. It happened right when I fell asleep again, like when you go to sleep and you feel like your falling and you twitch awake.

Swim has recently found himself having 5-MeO-DMT trips in his dreams. He took this chemical for the first time a few months ago, and has done it six or seven times since. Now, he occasionally finds himself having the samadhi experience in his dreams. It's often triggered by moving into some kind of lighted space in the dream; he'll see a crack in the dreamworld's "reality", move into the light, and start tripping.

This seems to happen more often when he has done some sort of drug the evening before, regardless of the drug in question. It could be alcohol, benzos, codeine, or cannabis. Caffeine and nicotine don't seem to have the same effect; perhaps it's only those that help put him into a deep, sound sleep.

The strangest part is how it doesn't immediately go away when he wakes up. It takes around thirty seconds for the "trip" to fade.

The only time it disturbed him was when he could hear his own brain frying during the dreamtrip. He's not sure what his subconscious was trying to tell him, there.

swim has found he can get high just by thinking about whatever drug he's used before long enough. he can for instanse start thinking of lortab and then start feeling that opiate warmness sourrounding him. its awesome.
