Advice Please On Bzp.

Does BZP show up on a drug test?

How long does it take to get out of your system?

I have noted with interest some of the posts on this site with regard to the legal issues surrounding BZP:

In essence........(waiting to stand corrected!),

1. It is covered by the EU Medicines act....not valid in UK.

2. It is not covered by the UK Misuse of Medicines Act 1968.

3. BZP is not a salt of Piperazine.

Therefore, theoretically, if it did show up on a drugs test it would not get you into hot water and would not be mentioned....or would it?

I am confused........................

Please help good people, because the rest of the net have been RUBBISH so far!!!!

Re: Advice Please On Bzp.

BZP (benzylpiperazine) is most certainly a derivative of piperazine. Only some crook claiming it's "Natural, dude!" would try to tell one otherwise.

Re: Advice Please On Bzp.

BZP is a piperazine. It is a percription only drug in UK. SWIM cant answer your questions with regard to drug tests, but SWIM would guess that it may be viewed in the same way as other perscription only chemcals that are often used recreationaly. i.e. if SWIY is realy worried about the implication, stay clear

Re: Advice Please On Bzp.

It will show up in a drug test if it is tested for, but 'should' not cause false positives for amphetamines (there is some conflicting infomation on this though). Some employers in New Zealand are now testing for Piperazines, not because they are illegal, but because they don,t like the idea of their workers getting high, legal or not.

Re: Advice Please On Bzp.

In regard to remark 1:
As piperazines are a class of chemicals, the total class of piperazines can not be covered by the MDA. They are covered by the MDA, because:
A. they are for sale in forms meant for consumption (i.e. pills, capsules, etc)
B. As specific piperazines have been identified as medicines, because of the reason above, they may now also be considered a medicine in other forms.

The above applies to all substances which have a effect upon organs. Including the brain and the CNS. So this applies to any new piperazine replacement. I suspect this is why the MHRA is not clear on how they have banned the piperazines: piperazine substitutes will arise and will get banned quickly in the same manner. Even products in the form of joints do fall under the MDA.

It will burn your nose real bad. BZP is corrosive. Its not good for your stomach or bowells, but will really wreck havoc on your nose.
