Snorting - The Snorting Z-Drugs Thread

snorting zolpidem (ambien, stilnox), hurts, works. you will get that zolpidem disorientation which to swim isn't that fun. it was more fun when i was like 16, I take one and spin around in my room, disorientated, laughing... got some recently for jetlag


now i just feel slightly odd and weary, and i wanna get some sleep.


swim says it works when you're too wired on stimulants to sleep, but orally would be better, the onset being so quick

SWIM currently has access to multitudes of ambien. She likes it a lot is was wondering: can she snort it? She hates injecting drugs and waiting for the high and much prefers quick-acting results from snorting pills.<P>

SWIM can snort ambien, SWIM has done it a couple of time.

so has SWIM. It burns a bit and makes your eye water, and your ear kind of hurt for a bit.

SWIM absolutely loves snorting ambien, most SWIM ever snorted was 20 and then without really thinking took a hit of acid, it kept SWIM very calm throught the trip, increbile experience. Be careful, once SWIM starts snorting ambien something takes over and before SWIM knows it he's upped atleast 10, very social drug for SWIM also talk talk talk.

the last time i railed ambien was out of an act of desperation, and because i thought snorting everything was kewl, making me tuff

(this was back in 10th grade if that tells u anything)
- don't snort it, if u want a quicker onset, just parachute

i remember that last time, i was initially only suppose to have taken one but found myself snorting five and not being able to remember anything that day... a friend said i almost got in a fight with someone and was DRIVING crazy..

Well, I've haven't been for awhile but -

I tried snorting it once, I took 20mg I think (it was a few weeks ago) just to try and must see it wasn't as good. It doesn't crush easily, has a tendency to form large flakes, burns like all hell, takes longer to kick in, and doesn't work as well.

Ambien can make you do some stupid shit. I have a high tolerance for most drugs, so if I take 10mg I'll be out of it but will remember everything, and if I take 20mg I'll remember MOST of it, but once I take 30mg I'm out.

Definately not a snortable drug.

If a person wants a quicker onset from pills in general, JUST CHEW THE DAMN THINGS UP THOROUGHLY and chase with soda pop, water or whatever (in the case of capsules, open & empty contents into mouth, chase with liquid, chuck out or save the gelcap as you wish).

Dunno if that's parachuting (methinks not) but SWIM has been using the "chew/swallow/chase" method successfully for a long time. Including with aspirin tablets. Some of us start as toddlers: "Yes momma, I will take the medicine, I know it tastes baaaaaaaaaaad but it's GOOD for me!"

P.S. SWIM just chowed down on 15mg, he's hoping this shit will have him unconscious in well under a half hour (trouble with Ambien is a person can wake up again within 2-4 hrs and have trouble getting back to sleep... but oh well, no use wasting much thought on something outside the realm of conscious control).

snorting is a pain! They are best crushed wrapped in tissue paper and swallowed (aka parachuting) as are most pills but esp with ambien.

When SWIM snorted 3 ambien. It didnt sting him at all, didnt hurt. Afterwards it felt cool (cold) when breathing through nostrils.

Wow, no sting? Thats impressive. The pills aren't that big to start with so it's not like you would be insulfating a large amount of ambien. Personally, I never understood why some people need to snort one of every known substance, but to each his own. I myself would never bother snorting anything other than that which is made for thy nose. Which is pretty much one drug.

SWIM wasnt to fond of the idea either. But when he read that the onset was MUCH quicker. He decided to crush up a pill and rail it. Didnt sting one bit. 20 minutes passed. Decided to crust another. 20 minutes later. STILL nothing. Crushed another and passed out 45 minutes later. (after sheer boredom)

Be careful with ambien, regardless of rout of administration, some reports make me suspect ambien is or is similiar to delirients.

Probably best to stick to oral administration in the name of safety.

I'm curious as SWIM has crushed Stilnox EU (Zolpidem) and found it to be a film coated medication similar to Zimovane UK (Zopiclone).

Is brand name Ambien (Zolpidem) not also film coated?

SWIM has Stilnox also which is coated, removing the coating takes a good 5 minutes to do by hand but is well worth it when preparing for snorting.

all you need to do is get a razor blade or the blade from a pencil sharpener (prefer Pencil Sharpeners Blade for obvious reasons)

cut a line around the side of the pill all the way around, not deep just on the surface of the coating so it starts to peel away easier. on the longest edge wedge the blade up under the coating and hold the coating between the blade and a finger, then start pulling across the tablet, only some will come of this side so they you do the same from whats left on the other side. then tackle the left over corners the same way, do this to both sides and then remove any left over coating missed before. if you do this well the tablet will look exactly the same just without the coating, the tablet is colored an off white slightly yellowish color withou the coating. then do what you will with the products. SWIM personally keeps the coating and takes it orally with a drink after snorting the tablet, no real reason but sometimes there is still bits of the tablet in the coating if you dont do it well so eating the coating afterwards for SWIM is just making sure he dont miss any leftovers. what can SWIM say - he is a man of strange habits.

SWIM had to try this, so he just railed 2.5mg of ambien. Burns like a sonofabitch. Nice buzz, probably better than taking it orally... not exactly a recreational type buzz tho, it's pleasant and mildly euphoric but SWIM says he wouldn't do it for partyin'. But it is pleasant, according to him. He might go do the rest of the 10mg tablet...

Swim has taken ambien before. He says it's awesome, and sniffing it makes it kick in faster, but seems to dull the hallucinogenic effect a bit (though that could be from his tolerance due to eating/sniffing mad amounts in the previous days). The only problem would be the flakey things from the film coating, but he just chops them up and says fuckit. And he also says yes, it burns, though not nearly as bad as some other pills he's tried.

SWIM never snorted ambien, but SWIM did snort Sonata (Zaleplon) and the effects were almost instant. They lasted for about an hour and no after effects. Its much better than taking it oral, unless u have an empty stomach. Im not sure if ambien is snortable because it Zopidem Tartrate, but i dont know a thing about chemistry so im prolly wrong

They felt really happy (dancing, laughing) and not sleepy at all.
Monkeys told me that it didn't burn or hurt a much. Just a little but nothing unbearable.
But the quite z-drug was hard to crush for the monkeys.

swiy decided to crush up 10mg of ambien and snort it.. he is on it right now while typing.. he has done this quite a few times and now does it more than orally. it does not burn at all for swim and he feels it hit within 30 seconds.. fully about 3 minutes. loves listening to music while on it.. mmmmm he loves it alot
