Okay, I know what you must be thinking. Stupid idea, right? Well thats what I thought before I did a search, and came across a few message boards with posts claiming that it "gets you fucked up". I've also heard that it doesnt, but I'm pretty sure the only people who say it doesnt work have never tried it. But I'd really like it know. I have 3 10mg pills, and I might snort like half of one of it'll do anything. Usually i'd just do it with out waiting for someone to reply, but if it isnt going to work, i'll just take it. No wasting. I hope it doesnt burn bad either..

Snorting ambien when not really fuck you up. it will allow you to go to sleep of course. Ambien is not really fun to abuse, unlike the Benzos. Ambien is not technically a benzo.

I've tried ambien a couple of times... I only took 5 and 7 mgs but want to try a litlle more. When me and my matestook it(oraly)we went on a strawl. And it was really great. At first a bit disoriented but then nice imagination in my head of futuristic things, later on very hapy and dreamy. No real hallucinationsyet but still very nice. It's a nice pill in my opinion.

well, i snorted half of a 10mg pill, but i was also drunk, so i dont remember what happend. 30 minutes after snorting half the pill, i took the other half with a beer and fell asleep in about an hour. So I dont remember..haha.

i've railed a few ambien,it just kicks in way faster and harder, but dont go
overboard. the only drug i can compare the weirdness of ambien too is
ketamine, i fucking love me some ambien.

i have tried snorting 10mg ambien, and it did not do anything, except
maybe the normal effects of it. but then again, i have been
taking ambien every night for over a year now, so i'm sure i've built a
tolerance to it.



i can understand why people who snort it who do not take it regularly
will get high from it, because when i first began taking ambien
[orally], i had strange and very amusing minor hallucinations [mostly
objects fluxuating in shape, size, and position]. but it isn't a
pleasant drug to snort, it does burn somewhat.

How bad of an idea is snorting ambien? What kind of effects do you
suppose would be amplified and which lessened? It seems viable totally
viable that the extended effect of tiredness would be much more brief
than with an oral dose.

It comes on faster, burns like a motherfucker. There's alot of shit in
em that you don't want in your nose, and it's not really worth it. Just
take it on an empty stomache.

I also noticed more pronounced effects if I smoked earlier that day,
came down completely, then at night taking one. That is what worked the
very best for me.

There is no added benefit from snorting Ambien. If you really must take ambien for "recreational" purposes, I would suggest taking 20-30mgs orally

SWIM found a strange effect from insufflation: SWIM was extremely hyper
and sociable for about an hour and a half, and then out of nowhere
passed out. SWIM also had a small nose bleed; however, SWIM is prone to
nosebleeds and this may not be related to the drug (but it was the same
nostril). No added effects other than a way too strong rushing. For a
sleep aid, this substance sure can give SWIM a social rush, which
causes him to stay awake. Towards the end, it always starts to feel
like diazepam to SWIM though.



7mg (weighed out) insufflated... not recommended.

SWIM bumped one ambien...made SWIM feel like he was floating exactly
one cm off the ground, so compared to gulping, bumping makes SWIM feel
floaty- not light, but floaty.

Holy crap............sniffing ambien is the best fucking high in the world. Now mind you I just got off a bender of H and am a reg oxy, vike and xanax head. I couldn't believe how fucking cool the ambien trip was. I felt so good inside-and felt like i was foating on air. I sniffed two 10 mg and ate one. Anyone else do this?

I dont use it recreationaly, but have a freind who snorts around 40mg at once. He LOVES it, did you get any visuals or was it all more like a body high?

I tried sniffing earlier today. i had taken 10ng orally. Didnt feel shit.

So I snorted a .25mg xanax and a 5mg Ambien. Not enough perhaps.

I'll try a 10 tonight if you don't think its too muhc. ( I have about a shot of
tequila in me, 1.5mg Xanax, and 1mg Klonopin in me right and a .5
klonopin I snorted.)

What say you? I just don't feel all that messed up.

i have snorted ambian but i prefer just swolling it or chewing it, not that i dont snort pills just i feel it isnt absorbed as well through the membrane as other drugs

Well, I don't really think that matters because the memory blackouts
only happen to certain people. But for me, duration seemed a lot
shorter, and I experienced no blackouts. This is opposite to when
I take 2 10 mg pills orally, and I experience heinous blackouts.



I used to snort one, then gulp one. That way I would feel really
nice and floaty for about half an hour, and then feel that weird ambien
feeling for the rest of the night. Also, others drugs such as
marijuana seem to lengthen the effect, I guess kind of like nitrous
is. But now I refuse to bump any pill, I just think it's dumb if
it can be taken orally anyway.

ambien burns like hell, but i'd have to say it is my drug of choice when i wanted get lit up, better to just swallow em though IMHO

It is water
soluble unlike the other benzos, so it will actually work when snorted. I
snorted 10mg once. I wish I could say I had fun hallucinations, but it put me
to sleep way too fast to notice. I very occasionally take mg orally for sleep,
so do not have any tolerance. It definitely works faster snorted, but that is
the only difference I noticed when compared to eating it. I have never had any
other effects on this drug other than dr</span>

hmm i have actually considered this before. Not for a fun high,
but when it is 2 in the morning and i gotta work in the morning i know
if take it oraly it will leave me very tired the next morning, so i
always thought maybe if i snort a little to sleep then the effects will
wear off sooner. Wasnt sure on the pharmacology behind it so i
have always held back. Anyone know if this will work

think it will wear off sooner, but will start sooner; a good thing if you are
taking it early in the morning. Also, as you point out you can take less.

is a Drug called Sonata (Zaleplon) that is very short acting and is perfect for
putting you back too sleep early in the morning. It is new and really pricey,
so some insurance will not cover it with Dr preauthorization.</span>


With all of
the fillers in I wonder if snorting is less efficient than eating it. Is
snorting something generally more or less efficient that eating it? Assuming
that both substances are water soluble.</span>

GI tract and a short elimination half-life (T _1/2) in healthy
subjects. In a single-dose crossover study in 45 healthy subjects administered
5- and 10-mg zolpidem tartrate tablets, the mean peak concentrations (C _max) were 59 (range: 29 to 113) and 121 (range: 58 to 272) ng/mL,
respectively, occurring at a mean time (T _max) of 1.6 hours for
both. The mean Ambien elimination half-life was 2.6 (range: 1.4 to 4.5) and 2.5
(range: 1.4 to 3.8) hours, for the 5- and 10-mg tablets, respectively. Ambien
is converted to inactive metabolites that are eliminated primarily by renal
excretion. Ambien demonstrated linear kinetics in the dose range of 5 to 20 mg.
Total protein binding was found to be 92.5 ± 0.1% and remained constant,
independent of concentration between 40 and 790 ng/mL. Zolpidem did not
accumulate in young adults following nightly dosing with 20-mg zolpidem
tartrate tablets for 2 weeks. A food-effect study in 30 healthy male volunteers
compared the pharmacokinetics of Ambien 10 mg when administered while fasting
or 20 minutes after a meal. Results demonstrated that with food, mean AUC and C
_maxwere decreased by 15% and 25%, respectively, while mean T _maxwas prolonged by 60% (from 1.4 to 2.2 hr). The half-life remained
unchanged. These results suggest that, for faster sleep onset, Ambien should

I am a big fan of ambien. I know on a empty stomach and a few beers i'm
feeling great until i black out and wake up the next day and forget
what I did the night before.

I spent the next day figuring out what happened...



I DROVE but can't remember driving. I have a flat tyre and a scratch on
my car and there is a hole in my flat from hitting my car into it.

The morning after, I remembered a dream I had that night in which I did backflips down my
street and defaced a billboard for our National Party [put correction
fluid over the people's eyes and wrote things like "i am evil
incarnate" and "i snort coke" under Simon Powers' [a politician on the
billboard] nose]. I went and checked on the billboard. Deja vu, right out of my dream.

It is obvious that I have punched something but I am unsure what.



According to my friend, I stole a pack of gum from him, put all of the
pieces in my mouth and spat it out after chewing for a few seconds.


I really must say that
this is not a drug to get greedy with. I normally won't even drive if I've
had more than one beer.



I can only wonder what else I got up to that night.
