too much cocaine.. best body position?

swim noticed when he does too big a line, his heart beats really fast and feel light headed. swim read for hart attacks, it is best to lay flat, but for seizures, best to sit with legs up or head between legs. with cocaine, what is the best position to be when it feels like too much?

On your knees praying!
heres a little something from Wikipedia
[edit] Stimulants

People can overdose on stimulants, such as amphetamines, ecstasy and cocaine, too, with symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, muscle cramps, seizures, paranoia, psychosis, confusion, loss of control of movement, vomiting and lack of consciousness.
First aid in these cases involves staying with the person and helping them to remain calm. Move them to a quiet area, and where possible, apply a wet cloth to their neck or forehead. If unconscious, place them in the recovery position and call an ambulance.[1]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_overdose

The recovery position is on your side.
Also it does not sound good to be planing for this.

Re: too much cocaine.. best body position?

"On your knees praying!" swim actually laughed at that.

but still wants a serious reponse. swim doesn't understand exactly what coke does to the body in large around... something about making veins smaller? whats best to do? read aspirin is also good to tke to make blood run better.... not sure about that though.

swim is saving his last big line to do tomorrow after work, topped off with some crack resin . just want it to be a good time and not a panic.

Re: too much cocaine.. best body position?

SWIM found that laying down with a few pillows to prop up the head seemed good. Not sure about the head between the legs, since SWIM recalls the aorta pumped like mad in his abdomen at times and might be bad to inhibit blood flow in that position.

SWIM doesnt really know what is medically best to do though. Maybe just have someone around to call emergency if SWIY feels that bad. Or just don't do so much at once...

Re: too much cocaine.. best body position?

Yeah, SWIM doesn't know exactly what position is physically best for a person who's had too much either... But, anytime SWIM feels like that he just sits up in a chair, kinda lean forward and breathe slow and steady breaths. The feeling of SWIMs heart beating so fast really scared him, so it was hard to keep calm and not make his heart beat even faster.

Re: too much cocaine.. best body position?

The best physical position to maintain is sitting upward on the ground (not lying on the ground) with SWIY's knees clutched to SWIY's chest and with SWIY's head down between their knees. In otherwords an upright fetal position. Also, instruct the person (or SWIMSELF) to breathe slowly and deeply while concentrating on their breathing and nothing else, definetly don't focus on SWIY's heart rate, this will just potentiate the anxiety.

Is this just swiy's personal advice or where did he get it so he can pass it on to friends.

Re: too much cocaine.. best body position?

i got extremely paranoid and confused the other day on a rampage.... i laid down watching t.v for a few hours... was totally fine after.

try not to scare yourself too much and keep telling yourself that the trip will be over shortly.
