Looking back on old posts on bluelight, I found this gruesome report of swim and his ignorance with DOI. I can assure you that this person who wrote this report is hugely changed and respectful of all of these compounds. The DOx series is NOT something to be taken lightly. Unfortunately for swim, he found that out the hard way due to his ignorance and stupidity. I feel that posting this may draw negative ratings, but it's worth posting for the lurkers or anyone thinking about not being wary of theses substances. This is a report of an unmeasured amount of DOI taken from bluelight. Swim said this experience pretty much ruined his "tripping" days.

All of this is FAKE, but a good read....

"......I have contridicted everything I have said. Yesterday, I ate half a blotter of LSD just for a minor head change. I then figured I would try eating the DOI instead of snorting it. I took out a little bit, yes unmeasured....and licked it off my desk. I took it around 1pm. After 2 or 3 hours went by I figured I just wasted some more LSD and DOI. I went to a friends house to smoke my last blunt before the navy and then I felt as high as I've ever been. I drove back to her house and was going to give her a ride to work. While I was watching tv, around 5:30pm, I started to hear warbling from nowhere and a few seconds later.....BOOM I was tripping unbelievably hard. My heart started POUNDING and I the whole room was moving. I was so scared I was going to have a heart attack. I told my friend that she would have to take my car to work as I could not drive. She left and I panicked, I didn't know what was going to happen to me. I really thought this was it, I was going to die from being so stupid. I got some paper and proceeded to write some final words to my love. It seemed as if I were posessed and the DOI was writing, painfully teaching me a lesson. "DOI! I don't really know how much I took." I had to call my girlfriend and ask her to come get me. I was so lucky I caught her a minute away from work. She came as fast as she could. I knew I was in for a hellride. My heart was beating so fast that I couldn't even count it. I was contemplating going to the hospital because I was trulyworried about my heart. It stayed elevated for about 2 hours and then started to go down. Waiting in a parking lot near the hospital, I started to come out of it. I told her how sorry I was and I really should have listened to the more knowledgable people on bluelight. She took me to her house and I felt much better. This was around 8pm. We were going to play cards in a nice cool place in her basement but when we about to play, I was thrown right back in. With my heart starting to beat fast again I had to go outside and get fresh air. For some reason, I wanted to sleep outside so she set up a cot for me and I laid outside, under blankets. We stayed out there untill about 11pm. My heart was much better but I still had trails everywhere. All of a sudden a skunk popped out and I ran, which brought my heart back to throbbing. We cleaned up and went back inside to hopefully fall asleep. I laid in her waterbed with so many thoughts running through my head. She's taken care of me so well and I was extremely grateful. I watch as the clock goes by, minute by minute. My girlfriend falls asleep as I watch from 11pm untill she woke up around 10am. I did not sleep one bit. Now it's early afternoon, 12:30pm, and my heart is still slightly elevated. I felt that I should post this to express my sorrow for my ignorance. To say sorry to fellow bluelighters trying to keep me, and everyone safe. I have many years of sobriety ahead of me with the navy. I look forward to it as maybe it will spark a new me."

Please don't tell swim how stupid he was, he knows this and has since then retired from these compounds.

well, swim expects around 100 doses of DOI in the mail within the next 3-4 days... he's gunna drop a few mg and update asap.

ok, My ferret grabbed up 500mg of DOI recently (over 2 weeks ago now, but he's just now getting around to writing up a good experience report)

2 dosings have been taken (he's trying to cut down his halucinagenic usage lol) 1 at 4mg, and another at 6-8 he plans to shoot for 8 within the next 2 days.

so, here's the writeup:

drug: doi 4 (3-5)mg
150lbs, 21yo male
route: oral
set: home, little responcibility
setting: 12 noon

here's what he wrote(this should be regarded as a work of fiction, and is NOT ME):

"

dropped the cap, and immediatly went out to do some yardwork. Had a full stomache because I wasn't trying to trip too hard.

immediatly had trouble with yard equiptment including mowers (yes 3....) and a weed wacker, but fortunatly(or unfortunatly) there was more than enough work to do and there were other tools for most of it.

we'd had a 'micro burst' in the last few months that nocked down a few trees on my property and we'd yet to deal with them. I took out the electric chain saw and went to town, piling up all the wood and dragging the sticks in back to one of the numerous piles. I remember wondering if it was kicking in..

about 2 hours of that later, I finally decide enough is enough and I was hungry again. I went in and cooked some steak... mmmm....
about 30 minutes later I started to feel jittery and energetic, I remember my stomache feeling somewhat uneasy so I kept slugging down ginger ale.

about 30 minutes after that, I went back to my room and begun browsing the internet.. I remember slight waves and blurring... glowing... nothing really special


around an hour later (it's now 3:15) I notice the color empathy hitting and minor paranoia. I'd give it an a++ on the shulgin scale.

I couldn't sleep that night... not that well.. ended up taking some diphen to take me down late at night. total duration of the visual effects and euphoria.. around 8 hours...

he also did another trip more recently and I convinced him to swim this report:

same set and setting, differences:
Drug: doi 6-7mg
route: insuflated
time: 9 pm.
"

Swim wanted to try DOI at a higher dose a few days after his first trip. He decided that the wait for the comeup was truely the only part he didn't care for and thought he'd try insuflation.

minor burning, not nearly as bad as it's 2c-x relative.

tastes pretty nasty, but doesn't require much. He's got a HUGE phen tollerance from abusing 2c-x's. he begun noticing effects of euphoria and speedyness around 10 minutes in and took 2 hours to peak fully.

he spent most of this time talking on his cell, and watching tv, eating icecream... all dumb ideas because his cell costs alot of cash, and he's been on a diet and excersise regiment recently... but managed to scarf down a whole half gallon.

he finds smoking a bit of weed (or your favorite synthetic) can help with the anxiety. during the night he turned off the light because he was yawning but couldn't 'get comfy' enough to sleep. He says he got 'paranoid delusions' for the first time in his life, tho was able to laugh it off as being such during the trip... says the shadows on his wall creeped him out. says he's not usually subject to irrational fears and was glad that he recognized them as such.

around t+4:00 he walked into his bathroom, because he was consuming plenty of liquids. he turned the light on and the major visual disturbances begun. towels on the floor began slithering around... echos and voices started sounding.. all very fun because he knew what he was getting into.

he spends most of the night watching house and cannot sleep the next night for probably other reasons. tripping didn't end fully for 18 hours, but visual disturbances ended after 10. Very speedy, but no moreso than 4mg."

Cam swim say if he had tolerance issues with the DOI since effects seemed to be very subtle

SWims monkey has taken DOC numerous times at the 2mg dose range and reported very good effects similar to Lucy.
Does DOI have the same effect at the same dosage level or are the 2 that much different?
Swims monkey wants to be sure that DOI doesnt require such a large dose.
and that it gives similar effects with same dosage.

my ferret has a very large tollerance to hallucinagens in general... he finds that 6mg is enough for anyone and too much for many.

I'd like to share a trip report that was written by a friend of mine.

He is a constant smoker, and has a very large experience in the research chemical and legals world. over 50 life experiences with 2c-i reachin as high as 80 mg at a time. he's taken DOI at different doses 4 times in the past 2 weeks. it'd been 3 days since his last drop. he has a drug test 24 hours after injection, so he has very minor amounts of natural THC in his system at this point. he is a VERY strong drug user and asside from this trip, another involving ALOT of salvia and lsa, and datura (which all by themselves and on other occasions are considered to be good substances...), he claims to never have had a bad trip.

He's very new with needles, kind of reluctant to try, but the come-up time of psychedelic phenethalamines pushes him to try a more direct route.


He's 'practiced' with needles twice before this trip, the first time with only distilled water and the second utilizing a very very small amount of a synthetic cannabinoid, both with basic success... he decides to move on to DOI as 2c-i cannot create a decent water solution( he doesn't want to inject more than a few units at a time... very slow going)


He decided to create a solution of diluted water and DOI. he added ~4mg (atleast 4.. maybe as much as 6 or 8 as his scale is a 2mg accuracy)... to 30 units of distilled water. He intended only to take a small portion of this solution, noting the unusually high dosing, atleast for oral intake.. he intended to shoot 5 units of his solution, but by the time he had set the needle, which took a few attempts because of his inept with it. he pushed 2-3 units intra-muscular by accident, and then shot the rest of the ~30 units into the vein in the crutch of the arm... there was no tye-off.

he didn't realize that he'd forgotten how much to shoot untill about a minute and 10 seconds later. Massive nausea immediatly sets in even tho he has nothing in his stomache. panic.. hot.. cold... numbness and pain... fear... many things that he's never felt during a drug experience before...

he even begun to contemplate confessing to the intake and requesting an ambulance... indefinitly pushing it back with the rationale that the horrible effects wouldn't last long, and the time spent in the hospital would be far less enjoyable lol... he'd been contemplating suicide recently, so he also decided that if he had killed himself, he might as well just stay where he is... and if he didn't.. then there was no reason to tell anyone.


I'm not sure who said DOI isn't a stimulant, but they are WRONG... heart was pounding, couldn't breathe..... not that he couldn't breathe so much as he was afraid that if he didn't force himself to breathe that he might not do it automatically. this fear is pushed onto him by an inflamation of his throat that comes with high phenethalamine dosings.. almost feels like having strep throat... well described as that he couldn't feel that he had full or empty lungs....

it's very important to note that the halucinations that come with phenethalamine intake didn't even begin to develop for almost 30 minutes.

right after injection, he ran to the bathroom (only one room over) and immediatly started the shower and turned it on as warm as possible (he was FREEZING that second...) it warms up and he steps into the water and immediatly vomits... continuing to vomit untill there wasn't anything left to vomit, then dry heaved for almost 15 minutes straight... sitting down, resting his forehead, closing his eyes... he could almost keep himself from pushing. dizzyness is making visual sight almost neglidgeable, tho it's completely un-disturbed... like the feeling a migrane gives in very high stress situations... while dry-heaving, he began to overheat, turned the water to cold, and had to litteraly double over and breathe very deeply to stay calm.

20 minutes after injection, he could stand still and not puke... not much else... he continue to dry heave every few minutes for almost an hour.

around an hour after injection he considered the effects to be positive


all in all, the DOI trip was very very strong. the visuals and audios and color.... all very normal DOI symptoms.

he notes that he's still got 'residuals' over 55 hours later.. he says he has barely slept since injection.

he passed his drug test the next day.



long story short, learn from his mistakes please... if you are new with needles, only prep as much as you are ready to use.

swim wanted to update this post.

over 150 hours later and he still has not reached baseline... no more visual disturbances, and things are returning to normal.. but not quite there yet.

the entire trip since basically an hour after injection has been positive. He notes that the suidical feelings he's been having of late are not only absent but his friends have been asking him more and more since injection 'what he's on' because he' seems unusually upbeat, and this comes with exactly 0 changes in the factors that caused his depression...

swim says that sleep is still a little difficult, and that minor visual disturbances/pupil dilation/color afinity are at a full +1 still... and twardds the end of the night/ when he finds himself *tired* these effects can become ++.. pushing halos/disturbances that swim would say are as strong as a gram of cubensis...

(this since has faded, said it was around the 100 hour mark that he stopped getting disturbances)



he wonders if this is what people mean by 'I'll never be the same after taking thta psychedelic', or " I never felt the same...."....

Wow. That must have been a very harsh trip. SWIM remebers accidentally dosing himself 20-25mg (orally) DOC, having been told by what he until then thought was a reputable source that it was 2C-B. Minus the fast come-up (it was about 4 hours til peaking) it was pretty damn similar to that.

That was one of maybe 3 other trips (100 medium cyanescens caps, ~500-800ug lsd, 40mg 2C-B + 100mg MDMA + ~750mg k) after which SWIM didn't think he would ever be the same again, and in a lot of ways he isn't as those experiences definetly left lasting impressions, ideas, but don't worry about it, all the fuck-ed up-ness should leave SWIY in a while, and if you work for it, most of the good things will stay with you. After a year of tripping ~3 times (not as heavily as those usually though) a week SWIM had to cut it out for about 5 months to really feel normal again though.

it's definitly releiving to know that even tho he feels like the
---"feeling in the back of my head might never go away"
that it will eventually either fade or become comon enough not to bother him.

3 times a week is just a bit too much for me..... it's nice to visit an alternate reality, but I don't want to live there... I enjoy the relative consistancy of my current reality, atleast enough to live my day-to-day life there without soo much of a problem




swim finds himself NOT SMOKING CANNABIS, or canabinoids, without withdrawls or even the desire to smoke. this has been over the last 48 hours or so, and surprises him immensly as it's been more than 3 years since he intentionally went without for a reason other than a drug test... no, he just didn't feel the need to smoke... marijuana available, rolled, lighter in hand...

don't get him wrong.. he did smoke quite a bit over the course of the two days, but it surprised him how easy it was not to dose when sober.

Yeah, swim knows these things now, it's calmed down to once a month maybe twice if there's something special, he feels no real draw to it anymore. Last year swim was living in a large technically 4 bedroom house, with 2 attic rooms, altogether 7 people all with not great jobs but enough money to support themselves, and rent was dirt cheap, all of them were mean party fiends. He thinks there was about one quiet night (as opposed to at least 10-15 people being round drinking, smoking, etc) a month. It was an experience to say the least but swim doesn't think he gained much from most of those trips, about the same amount were worthwhile as he should have left time in between.

someone requested that I go into greater detail about the subjective effects AFTER the first hour.. lets recap:

THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION, Valseedian has never put DOI into his body... injecting large amounts of research chemicals directly into your viens is a very very stupid idea, regardless of the chem.


~4-8mg DOI suspended in 30 units of water(tap water used this time, DOI's affinity seems to be very very high, maybe as much as 50mg/ml, in a 1cc insulin needle, injected intraveiniously.

from t+0:00 to t+1:00, the subjective effects included:
dizzyness/Nausea
tight chest
hot/cold flashes
panick
sensitivity to light
numbness/pain in extremities

these effects start within moments, and taper off slowly into a positive phen trip.

needless to say, this was one of the most intense halucinations/psychedelia I've ever felt in my whole life... it's important to note that you feel amazing right after the shittyness fades away... when the pain and numbness turn into tingly bliss, when the thoughts of panic and fear turn into slightly speedy thoughts of how best to spend the time on the drug...

now, I have to admit that the entire experience is incredibly hazy to me at this point... I have a hard time remembering more than just this and that... or single freezeframes of the night.


at t+1:00, the undesireable effects begin to wane almost completely, and a new set of symptoms arrises:
-visual disturbances
-auditory disturbances
-**other sensory deceptions
-general numbness of skin
-minor if any cognitive and intelectual handycap
-jitteryness, tight chest, involuntary muscle spasms

at around t+4:00 I begin to regain flowing memory.. fractals and halucinations are almost comonplace in my day-to-day life because of the consitancy of my psychedelic possession (ordered 1 gram of 2c-i, and traded portions of that for 2c-c and -e over time, then another 500mg of DOI, among others).. this normalcy makes the incredible things experienced seem almost cheap....

things that come with injection at very high doses that were not experienced in lower doses:
-auditory halucinations
sounds would exist that didnt exist, or sounds that did exist would warp and echo.. often changing with each echo.
-other sensory deception
synesthesia, for the frist time in swim's life.. claims to feel sounds and had taste/sight phenomina that he could relate to the sensory stimulation around him, sometimes would feel like something is touching him, or has tapped him, but nothing has.

halucinations:
DOI is not a real halucinagen(deleriant/desociative..) in that it doesn't force you to beleive in the aparitions (if you can even call the visual disturbances that comes with these types of phens aparitions'). DOI is psilicybin/mescaline esque, but requires much much lower doses.
cognitive abilities:
swim finds himself stepping in weird places, and often not landing his foot where he'd aimed it. he normally types around 100 WPM, but is down closer to 40WPM when typing under the influence. speach comes pretty easy, but definite differences in speed/vocabulary pointed to my intoxication instantly. an unexplainable urge to admit my 'wrongdoing' is present, but wholy ignorable.
inebriation and imparement:
swim finds even tho he's pretty disturbed that walking, driving and doing day-to-day work don't seem to be overly effected. his decision making skills seemed to be uneffected by even this dose, noting afterwards that he made alot of very good decisions while under the influence.


the major disturbances begun to fade 18 hours after injection, reaching 'baseline' 6 days later. 4 days straight spent with less than 1 hour of sleep a night

Here's an abridged version of SWIM's first DOI trip.

One day SWIM decided to ingest about 8mg of DOI at 3:00PM on a Friday. At first, he thought the drug was bogus, until after about 3 hours he decided to take a walk through one of the biggest cities in the U.S. SWIM heard every sound within 4 blocks in a horrifyingly distorted manner, saw imaginary frogs on top of trash cans, and could hardly walk straight. Somehow SWIM managed to get his kit-kat bar and soda he went out of the apt. for.

Upon return, SWIM listened to Piper at The Gates of Dawn like a true hippie as the colors of the white room gradually changed from cyan to blue to purple. Things were merry until SWIM decided to go to the bathroom. SWIM watched his face in the bathroom mirror morph into the devil, watched the room change to a dark purple, and then saw thousands of baby spiders on the ceiling.

Panic gripped SWIM, and for the next 20 hours SWIM paced back and forth with an unprecedented ridiculously fast heart beat. SWIM thought about the world and his place in it, especially the following things: the deceptive and greedy capitalists in society, SWIM's family struggles, old friends, old enemies, old regrets and mistakes, the sexiness of certain girls SWIM knew, SWIM's downfall and spiral into drug use, SWIM's potential place in a mental institution, death, SWIM's death, loved ones who wouldn't care, apologies that would never be made, and dreams that would never be achieved. SWIM cried, SWIM sobbed, SWIM screamed, and the only response SWIM could get would be psychedelic images bouncing throughout the room. SWIM lost his identity during these 20 hours and in a sense discovered a new one. During this time, SWIM attempted to shit and urinate 30+ times, resulting in a bleeding ass.

Shortly after, SWIM looked outside his 30+ story apartment window and thought about the leap of faith out it. Ultimately, SWIM came to his senses and reasoned that he would simply die in the apartment from the seemingly-inevitable heart attack or seizure. SWIM picked the living room as the location of death, on the hope that perhaps the "magical" name of the room would somehow prevent death.

Once SWIM's family came home on Saturday at around 9:00PM SWIM found a new and astounding love for his family and appreciation. Having not eaten since about 11:00 AM the previous day, SWIM decided to go on a walk through Center City with one of his family members. SWIM saw the most beautiful night scenery ever, somehow untainted by the hundreds of drunk couples lingering on the streets. SWIM stopped at the grocery store and purchased 5 bananas, and ate 3 of them when he got home.

In the blink of an eye, the terror had turned into bliss. SWIM watched TV in his room all night, gleefully jamming along to Piper at The Gates of Dawn and other delicacies. SWIM watched the Food Network and several unconvincing infomercials which he normally cannot stand. SWIM finally came to respect life for what it is, with a little help from the gorgeous ladies attempting to trick horny bastards into buying their absurd and laughable infomercial products. Despite his inner-feelings of peace, SWIM was still unable to sleep despite being awake since the Friday morning he took the DOI.

On the Sunday morning SWIM took a 4 hour drive (he wasn't driving). Arriving at his destination, SWIM was so tired that he was barely able to function. The aural distortions finally ceased at around 7:00 PM, a whopping 51 hours after SWIM licked the tabs, and 48 hours after the first effects were felt. SWIM passed out on his bed shortly and woke up feeling better than ever the next morning.

SWIM has a greater appreciation for the world now and much greater caution regarded psychedelic drugs. SWIM has experienced no flashbacks, but has had a few nightmares regarding his DOI trip.
