September 23rd has always been auspicious A Certain Mouse has been told, as are October the 4th, 11th & 32nd. The 3rd Wednesday has traditionally been poor, but the 6th Friday is a doozy...

In other words, it's an impossible question to answer other than to say there have been reports of Shroom's being found as late as December in the last couple of years. If the weather is mild enough the little blighters'll pop their heads up until the first frost hits.
