blood clots

i heard that you can tell if you have a blood clot
if your arm puffs up and striations appear to go UP the arm towards the body/heart. can anyone verify?

If this happens, better get to a hospital. You have blood poison. Most of the time someone gets a big knot on there arm is because the missed the vain and shot the dope into a muscle. Most of the time it will heal itself but will be sore for several weeks. When this happened to me when I used I always had some antibiotics handy. Any doubt seek medical attention. Most Doctors will bitch but wont call the cops. The don't want you to loose an arm.
