Re: Methamphetamine protects brain cells

You see, a PhD is very biased, because thereīs a strong hierarchy in most of the university and practical programs and especially in the case of studying medicine, theyīre often forced to think in very coarse, supposed to be ultimately viable category, to garduate a test, but as I see it, most of the multiple choice statements are just something about a fact, that was worth mentioning but needs extremly urgent new expertises and extreme adjustement to the individual, thus loosing the original meaning and soaking up real life experinces of the patientīs experience (i.e if I told you I were using steroids, hgh and ghrp-6 you would probalby call me a polytoxicomanic abuser and this would be the onyl thing other professionals will see and probavly deny an e.g well fitted
pain management)

The life expectance is something, that I wouldnīt ascribe to the medicine, more to like a few drugs, like antibiotics and mostly to the modern, clean way of eating and living in relative luxory for nearly all of the western civilisation, but nonetheless, some of the oldest individuums come from natives, with no civilisation at all and no pharmacies or docs.

And I have to admit, that only few "treatements" especially those of the species psychiatrists, psychologists, plus the more fascist medical wing of HNO(throat-nose-ear) docs have fucked up my life more than any illegal drug could have done, the normal docs included, because i was smoking a joint and after having a bad cold, with bad sweating, my father "repaired" the roller-shutter over my window, but in fact wanted to kill me, whjch nearly succeeded, because the ice-cold air off the now opended shutter fell directly onto me and after two days I ended up in the ICU with a Pneumothorax and when my private doc arrived, he was only reffering to "my wel"l known drug-use and that this would have been the cause and he still believes, that I have no right to live or something, because Iīm jeopardizing my health and might even be dealing in drugs. (which both isnīt true and I smoked double the amount of joints when I was out of the clinic to prove that cannabis isnīt able to provoke a pneu, later I stopped even smoking).

I was carried into a mental health hospital and nearly incancerated there forever, because I was making fun over an obviously fake hystery of my mother for which my two brothers beat me up and called the police while I was chiling outside and they must have been telling in my absence, that I was on drugs and freaking out or something, because they were astonished that I was calm, asking, what Iīve been taking(nothing for three years), although my family exactly knew, that I wasnīt taking drugs, nor smoking for 3 Years.
they took me wordless to the hospital, maybe thinking doing something good!

When my dad was peeing into my bed, my mother ruining my whole garderobe several times in a row, over a two moths period and I was complaining about it, whilst I became a very decent elite athlete, they again called the psychiatrist, which incancerated me for a "rezidiv" for over 6 weeks, turning me into a zombie, when the month before I was doing 80-100Km/day with an average of 32-36 Km/h on my racebike -needless to say I was doing nothing else and didnīt even see my parents I they handīt forced themselves into my life.

this was not onyl against any human rights, and plain mind-washing, it was death threatening to such a trained metabolism and with a resting pulse of 40 and I wonder if I didnīt get a heart attack the same year, because everything with my training and body is fucked-up ever since.Itīs a medical group with absolutely no scientific background, but a very successful with psychological warfare, eliminating rebels and drop-outs, stigmatize them and simply killing them over time with forced medicationing, not to say that this treatement should have fit my parents well, as they were the only ones, being constantly aggressive over years, aggressive the more, the more independent I became.

Things wouldnīt get much worse without medics, keep some of the surgery and dentists and some for the chronic conditions and leave the rest to the drug arsenal and to the widley available wisdom and healthy living, since I think Iīm the onyl one whoīs interested in progress with my body and the only one knowing what might be good for me and the onyl one, being intereted in my helath and not onyl in the priveledge of being a doctor or a work-a-holic in this business that suits work-a-holics best. The rest might understadn it, that the drugs and the recewptors in us are millions of years old and rteating them as one likes isnßt that detremental as the brave new world is telling us, that it would be, we have way other problems with ourselves, nobody seems to recognize anymore.

Concerning methamphetmine you canīt tell from the animal studies that it would be as detrimental, beacause of the dose animals get and theyīre just plain old animals an dnot humans (ultra-high dose corticosteroids in an polytraumatized human is life saving, a rat dies, barbiturates maybe life saving because they prevent swelling of traumatized brains etc.).

You see, medicine is no science at this point, itīs in some rare cases backed up by scientific means, like chemical analysing, blood work, screening methods, etc.
but evry other effect, of meds, in example, is too far off to be exact science, itīs always an experiment, with a more or less scientific background, with a phenotype of a group of animals, that might share some similaritys, but are all different.

My aunt took 30 years pervitine and while only the docs opinion aboput it changed, she always was functioning very well, doing all the chores, was happy, not drinkng/smoking, had not the slightest issues of mental illness and died with 80 years of age suddenly of an heart attack (she was a chain smoker in the after war years).and I thnk she was fitter than most, not to mention those smoking heavily.

Re: Methamphetamine protects brain cells

i already said what i am going to say on whether a drug can help a person subjectively or not. that's a personal decision each person makes every day. some people use science to guide that decision, others don't.

co-incidence, i am not going to engage with you or this topic any more since i have no flexibility of thought. i only have a phd that i obtained by passing multiple choice tests (and not by decades of learning and hands on research involving day to day contact with patients of various sorts). and of course since i have a phd, that automatically means i have none of that "life experience" you talk about. i come to this forum hoping it will rub off on me. i have never even seen drugs in my whole life. what would i know??

i love the way you think. i only wish i could so easily deduce that things that i like are good for me. alas i know some of them are not good. the subjective fact that they make my life better and i choose to do them don't make them healthy...

all the best... really!
