MDEA/MDE vs other MDxx variants

I’ve seen plenty of discussions about the difference between MDMA and MDA, but what about MDEA and/or MDE? I tried the search engine but there don't seem to be any comparisons. How do these differ from MDMA and MDA?

I though MDE and MDEA were different chemicals but erowid lists them as the same!?

Looking further into erowid and the vaults I have found a vault for bk-MEDA and experiences with it. Is this the same as MDEA or different? Is it classified as a Euphoric Empathogen; Phenethylamine rather than Psychedelic Amphetamine.

It is the beta-ketone analogue of MDEA. Here is a thread about it.

^^Note that the name ethylone applies to bk-MDEA, not MDEA which you originally posted about.

So is MDE just shortened way of writing MDEA? I'm no chemist. It's all double Dutch to me. I'd love to learn more. I'll have to get hold of Pihkal and/or Tihkal one of these days.

The terms MDE and MDEA are synonymous
