Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
This guy is most likely exaggerating, or a phony...or it is a war story created by an attention seeking junkie as mentioned already.
Also, this is a waste of ecstasy. SWIM felt like he was wasting it when this SWIM binged on it for 2-3 months only taking one to two day breaks at times. So this guy no way stayed high...more like stayed burned out. Then all that other garbage on top of it - this guy is either frizzled for life or an imaginary creation by the proponents of the Drug War to push forward blanket scheduling. Because after binging for an entire week 3-5 pills a day this SWIM felt completely spaced out for at least 3 or 4 days after that and all the re-dosing did was wake SWIM back up but the euphoria had diminished completely almost if not completely. In total by the end of these months SWIM did a little over 125 pills and the magic was gone from that even. |

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
It just occured to SWIM that the man in question didn't actually "hit his limit" if he in fact lost contact with the doctors and started using street drugs...

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
Why would anyone want to take 25 tablets a day? You'd think he'd have gotten sick of it and been tempted by the wonders of reality.

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
Becuase either he had one hell of a tolerance or this is some bullshit bogeyman story the governments going to tell our kids for the next 50 years about if they drop ecstasy you'll end up like that moron.
I go with option 2 becuase I don't think even an elephant could take that many and not be risking serious brain damage from the sheer amount of seretonin flooding his brain for months on end. |

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
Serotonin could not flood his brain for months on end because it would quickly deplete.

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
Even if he had a massive tolerance, you'd probably be talking about him taking 25 of these in a short space of time, what would the toxicity of the drugs be like at this point? Wouldn't this make you very ill even if you did have a gigantic tolerance?
I think I'll go for bullshit, too. |

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
Of course it's bullshit, but I think even if he didn't take 25 hits of E everyday, he was still a heavy drug user. And I don't think hitting one's limit means having slight short-memory dysfunction...

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
How does nobody else wonder how this guy afforded this habbit? I guess it's not that much money considering it was over 10 years... but lets break down the last few years. 25 Pills a day 7 days a week... 175 pills a week. Let say he was gettin them in bulk on on a decent discount, so like 5 bucks a pill, thats like $900 a week, which I guess isn't all that much, but to actually hold down a steady job while your that fucked up would be damn near impossible. I could see this guy as a muscular gay guy who greets people really giddily at the door of a fine resteraunt or something. I'm not saying thats what he is, but thats just the mental image I get.

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
well, I'm no expert when it comes to E, but how the hell can someone take 25 tablets a day for 4 years, take all those other drugs too, and still have a job and money?
even if he wasn't getting much effects from the E any more because of tolerance (if applicable for E), he would still be getting from all the others that, apparently, he didn't do so often. less tolerance, more effects. so he was high pretty much every day, spent money on all those drugs, had a hard time concentrating (he couldn't even go to the supermarket) and still had a job that got him over 1000$ (easily, even without food and other daily expenses) per week. clearly exaggerated. also notice the he suddenly went from 3.5 to 25 tablets a day. that can't be. and the sentence with all those drugs listed is the last drop, this is clearly fabricated or exaggerated. oh, and he conveniently disappeared to score some dope. wow. |

Re: Heavy drug user hit his limit
Without a doubt somethings wrong here. He would need a pretty decent job to buy thousands of dollars worth a week in just E, let alone all of the other drugs he threw in there. Someone fucked up their numbers pretty bad to make this seem reasonable. It's just ashame that the ignorant is going to believe this bullshit and spread the lies to all their ignorant friends.....
With all that aside, there's a moral to the story. Ecstasy just simply isn't that good for you, especially on a regular basis. Therapeutic doses might be a different story, and if it's 100% MDMA, but at recreational doses being mixed with god knows what it's an undeniable fact. A tough pill to swallow, (no pun intended) but it's all not happy happy-joy joy my friends. |
