Nope, but from past experience... SWIM likes aggressive, depressive and violent stuff on coke (if in fact he's in the mood for music at all, which isn't all that often).

P.S. SWIM is really not into coke anymore... the combo of high prices + trouble getting quality stuff lately has turned SWIM off to it bigtime. He's tired of feeling like an idiot spending big $$ not only on *heavily cut* but *BAD CUTS* that hurt like hell and leave the nose trashed at the end of the night. NO MORE. Not to mention, SWIM's "friends" are hardly ever willing to pitch in a cent, so unless he wants to do it alone he has to supply everyone else free. Baah... not. SWIM's really looking forward to that methylone coming in. Better high than coke (at higher doses), easier comedown too.

Swia and boyo also used like heavy guitar riffs music when we did coke. and some dance music. Coming down music did'nt really matter so much as it was never a happy time anywho. but Redhotchillipeppers used to work for swia.

SWIM is already digressing from the intent of this survey thread, but the same thoughts were just running through his mind about coke. quality stuff is not the problem, it is the recent ability to consume a lot more of it in one session. and the craving for it even on a weekday... leads to very a very expensive drug! SWIM has spent more on it in the last month than he would with a sizeable H habit. also spent way more than he did in totality on coke since he started it about 6 mon. ago. SWIM better cut it out if he wants to have be able to pay the rent!!! lol. need some kind of get rich quick scheme.... SWIM thinks the dealer is prob making some good green, but risk is too high (of course) -- go to jail, say byebye to carrer plans.

methylone eh? isn't that some kind of extacy derivative? SWIM thought it was supposed to be totally different... like a good feeling euphoria, but not make you uppidy. well SWIM will have to do his reading on that he guesses....

finally... SWIM feels like he can close his eyes and sleep. in the future, if SWIM feels like he is going to do all his stash, might as well try to finish up by midnight. Seems to take 3 hours after the last line to fall asleep. but 6am now is better than recent 12pms---- ugh! does that mess your schedule up!!

SWIM's friend got him into an initial "theme song" for that first dinger. He'd put on "Amber" by 311 just as he hit. Every time the song plays the brain immediately perks up. Nice association. Since then, SWIM enjoys:

SWIM can remember every song he ever heard with his first line of the party, and has completely and utterly loved it ever since. Same with MDMA too.

Swim noticed the cats using coke seemed to veer towards violent depressing music - angry house or some rapper laying it on about murdering his pimp and the neighbourhood, for looking at his pitbull.

Swim also noticed conversation turned towards recent murders and violent assaults, with Swims generally giving versions of how it might have gone down, musing on the machetes, guns and looking knowingly at Swim who gulped and thought 'they're coked up truly good and proper and talking about murder!'

SWIM is not on it at present, it usually gets SWIM in the mood for raving lots of drum n bass or electro. Strange contrat though sometimes SWIM likes some random poprock to sing along to.

For SWIM it depends on place where he is and atmosphere around. At home SWIM likes to listen trance - like Armin Van Buuren or Tiesto , or watch some comedy or action movie. If somewhere with friends in some home party, then it depends on what everybody wants to listen... But with many people its not so important about music etc... Everyone is talking to each other, so the music is in second place... The best mood and situation when SWIM have done C, it was in Cartagena (COL) when SWIM was in trip in Colombia. It was near the city in hotel at the beach... Balcony with view over Caribbean and SWIM turned loud one music station in TV where is all the time Salsa music playing... That was unbelievable feeling Felt like in some movie... Good times

what works for me is puttin on the headphones and chillin out to some 2pac, namely the album Me Against the World. Whenever I hear "Lord Knows", it makes the high that much better and for whatever reason, I can comedown to that song as well, or that whole album for that matter. I enjoy that album while sober as well, but for me, I enjoy it way more while flyin high or coming down, just works for me. That and sometimes Aphex or Squarepusher, but more often I need some chill Cali rap to do the trick.

No music for SWIM. SWIM prefers to knock back the drinks and chat whilst he is on it. SWIM always feels the need for attention when he's on coke and music has a habit of distracting people or making it hard to hear the conversation. Might help take his mind off the comedown, though.

Whenever SWIM has been in strong coke phases, he always goes out a lot to clubs / house music venues with his friends - so songs from those eras that were popular with DJs are stuck in his head and associated with coke.

One in particular Eric Prydz - Call On Me is super associated with blasting rails of coke for him.

What are some of the songs you've fallen in love with?

I love to listen to dub, disco-electronica and trip hop when I'm chillin and something more downtempo for late nite. Check out Junior Boys-Birthday, Supreme Beings of Leisure and Groove Armada to close your eyes to.

Heh, it would take too long to list them all ... Fatboy Slim - Kalifornia, Roni Size - Raised in the Hood, SM Trax - Got the Groove (song when my first roll kicked in), Iz and Diz - Love Me Right, Groove Armada - Superstylin' (since you mention them) ... hehh just a couple that come to mind

Cool that you can remember what song was playing your first time! All I remember is puking so hardcore at a wedding and having to leave haha.

Check out 8tracks dot com when you're chilling, it's an awesome site made of user submitted music playlists. There's a playlist for every mood in every genre- I've discovered a ton of new stuff from it. You can make playlists too, they have a huge song database.
