Amount of time it takes for Adderall tolerance to lower

SWIM is assuming it is diffrent for everybody depending on the person,weight,maybe age, and doseage

but SWIM is prescribed 3 adderall 10mgs a day and SWIM usaly takes a few days off and latley SWIM has been just takeing bout 3 or so days off and then doing like 6-8

orginaly before SWIM started back up agian (after being off of it for a year) 3 did the trick for rec and non rec use now takeing 8 hardly affects SWIM , Also SWIM took about 8 today then bout 3-4 hours later took 3 more and SWIM hardly felt them...So im wondering how long it would take to lower SWIMs tolerance if SWIM stopped all togther

It also depends on SWIYs metabolism and how SWIYs body processes stuff. SWIY might try doing some sort of body cleanse or some sort of juice fast for awhile to clean out the system. SWIM thinks that there's no real definate answer for this but guesses a couple months at least.

Tolerance isn't half the problem that is created when someone stops Adderall (or anything addicted to for that matter) cold turkey - I've gone for days without it before, and it was one of the most miserable, agonizing, exhausting, horrible things I've ever felt. From what I've learned, the feelings of emotional pain are SERIOUSLY a possible threat to their own and others lives if suicidal/homocidal thoughts occur WITH misery, depression, and extreme irritation.

No one should ever be taken off adderall like that, and doctors who do so should be investigated if they didn't know about withdrawl symptoms. I'm still pissed at a doctor who did that to me years ago. Bastard.

SWIM suggests abstaining 4-5 days if 2-3 isn't working anymore. 3-4 days is usually enough to reboot SWIM who takes 60mgs a day. Also, stop taking the increased dosage, this is just a theory, but when your body does reset somewhat and you take the large dosage you probably start associating the feel of the increased dose as normal and thus the normal dosage won't seem to be working.

From I read, SWIY took 120mg and didn't feel anything!? That's a problem....

Does SWIY use MDMA, Cocaine, etc? These will effect how well adderall works....


To answer your question, SWIM finds around 2 months to be just fine

this might not work but when body builder use clenbuterol they take benedryl at night for a week becuase it down regulates certain receptors(ephedrine works on the receptors too.) i don't know it that would work but maybe

That has to do with Beta receptor upregulation and most serious bodybuilders take Ketotifen instead of benedryl. Amphetamines work a little differently than clen/ephedrine

Is it true that taking MDMA prior to taking adderall may reduce the adderall's effects? or atleast modify them in some way?

A few days apart...I took an ecstasy tab a few days before my first adderall dose ever, it took me 60MG of Adderall XR to get the slightest improvment in my focus. Would the MDMA have done anything to diminish the effects of the Adderall?

SWIM appreciates your vivid explanation. Is the cross tolerance between MDMA and dextroamphetamine soley due to MDMA acting on dopamine? If its been shown that there's no cross tolerance between MDA and MDMA(both affect dopamine), why would it exist between ecstasy and adderall?
