Extraction - Pure extraction of LSA from Morning Glory

Does anyone know of a way to extract LSA completely from morning glory. I do not mean the method that ends in the yellow gum, but that ends in PURE LSA being formed.

Water extraction followed by chromatography is the ONLY WAY TO EXTRACT THIS COMPOUND. if you have any questions or disbelief go read about hoffman making LSD the first time. his ergolation was tried MANY times until he finally broke down to water extraction.

I understand youre probably a bright person. but you simply do not understand how delicate this compound is. read about it here in exerpt from tikhal. youll begin to understand why this can NEVER be achieved by an alkyl or ANYTHING as harsh or influential as a carboxolyc acid.

the reason your post angered me so was that Id already cleared this up. its in the search engine. whats more youre giving instruction. bad instruction. we here at this forum frown upon that. misinformation could end up letting quite a few SWIYs down, and of course feeds the propaganda market of LE, which must be stopped. only truth must be told, particularly with these compounds.

now the very best ergolation comes from water extracts, fractionalized via LOW HEAT HIGH (-) PRESSURE vaccuums in the most controled of states. even the slightest bit of photonic energy from light source can damage it and ruin the purity. its always best to leave at least SOME water as well, as both oxygen and heat destroy it, and for some reason with ergolines water seems to bend the light around them and of course water is more easily kept at a constant temperature. it needent be too cold, but shaded area room temperature at least. you can get a quite pure LSA sample through this method even using something as relatively weak as HBWR, olliliqouis(sp?), and morning glory. works particularly well with the flying saucer variety. this method also works of the ergot fungi (plaviceps?) but remember its extract will be many times many times the power of the plant seed sources. for chemically workable lsa (95%) or so one needs to fractionalize and refractionalize with more sensitive equipment.

swim wouldn't bother trying to get 'pure lsa'--because this is not what causes the effects from the seeds--what causes the effects is the synergism between all of the polar ergoline compounds in the seeds (6 to 8 of these compounds)--which just so happens to all get extracted with a simple cold-water extraction--leaving the bad non-polar toxic crap behind. This is how the Indians did it for thousands of years. Pure lsa is fast degraded in the presence of light, heat, and even air. Doing a quick cold-water extraction (no chlorine!) will not degrade the amides significantly. The water should glow a very light aquamarine blue under a blacklight if you are actually extracting the amides--as ergolines are known to fluorese blue under blacklight. The water extraction also allows the ergine and iso-ergine to form three ergine variants in solution via hydrolysis which stabilize in the water over a period of 30 minutes to 1 hour--which is believed by chemist P.W. to cause the potent psychedelic activity as it then reaches and crosses the blood-brain barrier intact. Trying to find a good visual morning glory report without nausea is like trying to find a needle in a haystack--but swam claims to have done it. 'Pure synthesized LSA' was found 'wanting' and boring by Hoffmann, but the many synergistic compounds found in the mg seeds, if prepared correctly in a solution (water being the easiest and simplist) are indeed thought to be quite potent.

swam claims to have had very visual experiences with premium variety burpee morning glory seeds grown in holland and sold in those dated seed packs. You may have a hard time finding them now though, as it's no longer Springtime--and they are more expensive than the other brands. swam had the best effects with the Martha Stewart Brand grown in holland found at k-mart, but swim believes these are just re-packaged burpee seeds with her name on it that you pay twice as much for. It's been rumored that Martha owns stock in burpee.

swam experienced open-eye visuals of multi-colored three and four dimensional lattice-like geometric structures, and with eyes closed saw pyramids, angelic winged forms, a pyramid with the eye of Ra on it with swords pearcing it, incredible temples and architectural structures, animals, and much more....swim even had personal correspondance with swam for a few days--and let me tell you--swam is intelligent and sharp. swim have no doubt in swim's mind that swam experienced all of this many many years ago.

But when swim tried to duplicate swam's distilled cold-water extract experiments with 11 grams of burpee seeds, swim did not have any visuals--but then again swim only extracted for 5 minutes, and swim should have at least done a 20 to 30 minute extraction--swim will be trying a 30 minute cold-water distilled water extraction next spring with the premium dated seeds. Don't forget to stir the water for about 5 minutes and agitate and squeeze the bag against the glass periodically.

swim got ZERO effects from 'bulk seeds' that swim bought from three-yes 3 different suppliers! swim tried Entheogen/botany suppliers and a few other commercial suppliers---but swim did get some very definate effects from the burpees--swim suggest you try these out when doing your cold water extraction. Do a distilled cold water extraction for 30 minutes, and put the hammer/coffe-grinder crushed seeds into an empty family-sized lipton tea bag, staple it shut--then dunk it in the very cold water for 1/2 hour. Only the actives will go into the water---swim got zero/no nausea with this cold-water extract that swam recommended but swim made the mistake of only doing the extract for 5 minutes when swim should have gone at least 20 to 30 minutes. Don't go past 30 minutes or you will start to get un-wanted stuff in the water. When it starts to turn brown you have gone too long. You want the water to be a tan or dirty tan/off white/very light brown color.

swim saw a vision of a pyramid, floating in the air, with the Eye of Ra on it, and with a sword piercing it from beneath. The sword was entwined with two cobras, as in a caduceus. And around this pyramid atop a snake entwined sword were four large luminous feathered wings, each one a distance out from each corner of the pyramid, coming from beneath the whole figure and reaching above it, almost as though the wings were guarding it. This whole figure has obvious occult meaning. swim just wonder why the images are so typically Egyptian in character, at least for swim.

swim have found many things similar to my visions in the art of Alex Grey. The eyes all over things, the energy lattices, and so on, are all very similar to what swim has seen. Have you seen Grey's painting called "Dying" ? That eye-filled vortex pattern is something that swim has seen. It seemed to me at least while swim was tripping that the winged eye that dominated things was my soul, maybe something like the "ba" of the Egyptians. swim once saw it rising up to meet the light, as if swim was underwater seeing the sun above the surface and my soul was flying up to join the sun.

swim also once saw a great field of eggs, above which was a giant watchful eye, surveying the field of eggs. Some of the eggs were cracking, and the cracks were lined with peering eyes. Every exposed opening was filled with eyes. And swim could see myself as one of these cracking eggs.

Another time, swim saw myself as a red dragon, what seemed to be my true form in this hyperspace, flying up, seeking the Source.

All of the visuals have a quality that swim can't describe well, verbally or with illustrations. Everything in that interior realm seems made of subtle energy and is luminous. It also often seems to have more than three spatial dimensions. It usually has a very detailed and very ordered structure, very mathematical, but arranged with a kind of structural harmony that is never seen in the physical world. The structures are beautiful beyond description. It is like visual music, with the sizes and positions shapes seemingly related by some kind of precise law that binds everything together in the most perfect harmony. The flawed forms of our world compared to those perfectly harmonious ones of that world are like the cacophany of a cocktail party compared to a symphony by Beethoven. Visual order like that has never been seen in physical form, in the natural world or in art. Fractal geometry sometimes resembles it, but still falls very short.

swim did some drawing while on MG seeds and discovered some principles of visual harmony that swim hope to fully realize one day and apply to painting. swim think that it might be possible to revolutionize design with laws of structural harmony the way that Pythagoras revolutionized music with his discoveries of the harmonics of sound waves. swim think that current visual art is probably like music before Pythagoras, with artists not understanding the laws of form and just basically working by trial and error to get something aesthetically pleasing. Primitive music was sometimes harmonious, but the real stuff was not unleashed until music theory was well understood.

Much of swim's MG trips have revolved around harmony one way or another. Playing a didgeridoo while tripping taught swim a lot about sound waves and resonance. It was wonderful! It was all very Pythagorean and makes swim wonder if the discoveries of Pythagoras were not aided by similar compounds, maybe through something like the eating of ergot infected grain. Plato has spoken of similar things and alludes to them with his Allegory of the Cave. And it is thought that he was an initiate in the Eleusinian Mysteries, which may have involved the ingestion of ergot infected grain.

Seeing this celestial realm, swim suddenly realized where all of the great architects, designers, and artists were getting their inspiration from! swim could especially see it in the sacred architecture of the great gothic cathedrals, the great mosques, Indian temples, and so on.

But what really struck swim is how this harmonious order is everywhere in our universe. The universe is governed by mathematical harmonies. They determine the structure of everything. The whole shebang seems to have harmony near its root.

swim don't even know how to begin talking about what swim got into there. swim think that one reason that swim have not yet gone back is that it was all a bit much. swim still have not digested it! swim could make a career out of the insights swim gained in just a few minutes of any one of swim's more amazing trips.

As is probably obvious, swim think that there is more to this than just chemicals and the brain.

Believe me, swim has spent over 3 months studying this subject, and if you want effects you had better use fresh seeds not some bulk seeds that have been sitting around for ages loosing their potency. The ergolines in the seeds don't seem to remain potent for very long after being picked--fresh is best. Also...light, heat, and even air de-compose the very delicate amides. Sunlight will destroy it instantly. Hofmann was even warned by his senior chemist before he began his research--that ergots and ergolines are very un-stable compounds.

And please post your experiences, swim would really like to read about them, since swim's experiments came close but didn't quite get there. If you ask swim, the results people have are highly variable depending on seed source and potency/freshness.

There you go--fresh mg's, hammer, coffee grinder, an empty tea bag, a stapler, a tall glass, spoon and cold distilled water--just the basics--doesn't get any easier than that.
