Question about trazodone (not an opiate!)
SWIM recently ran across a pill that looks exactly like a soma or a perc 5mg but its not...it was called trazadol...swim was wondering if anyone has heard of these & if so do they have any recreational potential?

it sounds like trazodone, and does not have any recreational potential aside from being a sleep aid. Please include a more detailed subject line in your topic next time.

Trazodone
The first time SWIM was prescribed Trazodone for sleep, he was prescribed 100mg at bedtime. The first time SWIM took his trazie, he felt a little stoned T+00:15. Although everytime after the first night, the trazodone barely made SWIM tired anymore. Just thought this might help.

Trazodone is an old tricyclic antidepressant, though it is primarily prescribed as a sleep aid. Trazodone has zero recreational value, in fact it is often prescribed in rehabilitation clinics as a sleep aid (SWIM has recieved it every time he has been to rehab). It has the nasty habit of giving you a small window (around 30 minutes) in which to fall asleep (starting as soon as the effects are first felt). After that window passess SWIMs nose stuffs up and he gets "the traz munchies." Sometimes a nurse is nice enough to bring SWIM a sandwich after hours. Jesus too much dexadrine, SWIM is losing it.

Re: Question about trazodone (not an opiate!)
SWIF felt that this was very similar to Amitriptyline in its effects. Not worth anything recreationally.

Re: Question about trazodone (not an opiate!)
Everything said above swim agree's with, but as swim has posted before and for some reason it was deleted, it causes impotence. Now thats some important info someone taking it should know. Swim too was prescribed this in rehab by a FEMALE doctor. As soon as he got out of rehab and went to his normal male doctor he imideatly switched him to another sleep aid citing there are plenty of other sleep aids just as good without the worst side effect ever to worry about.

Re: Question about trazodone (not an opiate!)
If one were addicted to hot sex, this side effect could be seen as positive. Other than that though, this seems like a pretty unfun, non-recreational drug. I'm closing this thread though since this drug isnt an opiate.
