Now this may seem a little silly but does any SWIY's remember words made up while heavily tripping where crazy wording swims throughout your train of thought? SWIM is starting this thread out of curiosity as to investigate the minds ability patterns to learn and accessorise words, syllables etc. under the influence of hallucinogens. SWIM knows this might seem like a dull experiment but its in the name of science. I'll start with words of my own and meanings. Please do the same.

NOTE: Such thinking has permanently become a part of SWIM's thought process. Take care with hallucinogens especially acid, no matter how experienced SWIY's are. Taking mind altering substances will alter your mind longterm and if SWIY goes too far, there can be no turning back. SWIM apologises for the lecture as its sure most are aware of such things, but this must be taken seriously. Tripping is an amazing pastime and isn't likely to cause serious problems but everybody has only one brain whis is all too easy to mess up.

Well, one pretty smart college prof SWIM once had said that LSD actualy creates new nerual pathways in the brain... connecting spots that weren't before. That course was a while ago, so SWIM doesn't remember what else was said, like what the repercussions of that is... SWIM dropped about 30 different times in high school and any side effects of those times didn't show up again after 6 months.. give or take. So, it's not clearto SWIM how permanet the brain changes are for SWIY... when was the last time SWIY dropped? Permanently sounds like a long time !! Then again, SWIM knew a kid at school that ate an undisclosed amount of tabs in his cereal (maybe he was already nuts, lol), and whenever SWIM saw the kid, he would always go BZZT! about every ten words or so. That mighta been a permanent effect.

If SWIY knows more about the techical side of what the old college Prof said.. would be interesting.

SWIM has experienced bizarre synthaesia of sentences on his acid and mushroom trips. It normally happens on rather high doses. It feels as though he's trying to string together a sentence, only his thought process is too rapid, and it seems as though the words and syllables merge into each other so that what another person might hear is a jumbled up sequence of sounds that seem somewhat linguistic but end up sounding more like someone "speaking in tongues" as it were.

An example would be:

The tripper wants to say: "let's go outside and get some fresh air".

But it sounds like: "le-go-t's-sideout-get-and-fre-some-sh-air" or some sort of other random jumbling of the sounds in the sentence.

SWIM would like to make some recordings of this the next time he experiences this phenomenon.

SWIM often discovers new meanings to familiar words while tripping. "Fucking shit" is a outburst SWIM dosn't use anymore after he became aware of its alternative meaning as a description of anal intercourse. Holy shit also means a turd full of worms. Many words have quite funny alternative meanings. Try finding some yourself.

SWIM and his friends always end up mixing words or thinking of some weird saying while on cid. One of SWIM's favs was 'Shur-Ass Up' and 'Shut the fuck outta here.'

Swim doesn't make up new words, instead he starts to use obscure ones. He'll replace a simple everyday one syllable word with a huge word hardly anyone has heard of. Well really all hallucinogens tend to extend swims vocabulary, but with acid he also uses alot of questions to talk. eg "Will you grant me the privilege of using your urine flushing device to expel of my golden pride?" to which one of swims tripping friends would generally reply "HAHAHA OMG WHAT!" Things that usually take one breath to say will take swim many while tripping.

although its been several years since the last time now. anyway, once swim was in a hotel in mexico out of of his mind laying naked in the bathtub when the housekeeper (a mexican lady) came in. swim was to fucked up to move and didnt even bother to try, however, he did hold a 10 min conversation in spanish with her while she was standing over him as he laid naked in the tub fully exposed. the funny thing is....he didnt speak spanish. he felt like he understood every word that was being said and was communicating properly but in reality was probably saying gibberish. God how it would be funny to have that on video tape to watch the next day.
