Do world opium tours exist?

Ok, so i know there are sex tours through asia and other parts of the world. Those make me sick. Id love to castrate the fucking bastards who participate in those ... but what i was wondering .... has anyone ever heard of any tours to taste opiats of the world ....

opiates are regulated by UN international law in most countries. Any country that is part of the UN must adhere to this. If there are any opiate tours of the world, they will likely be illegal. That said, these may exist for wealthy travellers with the right connections in India and Southeast Asia, where the laws may be enforced more laxly. If caught, expect to face punishment. Even approaching someone and asking to try different types of opiates might lead to ill results as swiy could end up robbed or killed. However, in smaller towns there are often opium dens where even foreigners can partake if they have the trust of the locals.

Opiates are going to be the same the world over though...morphine is morphine, no matter where it comes from. Same goes for synthetics. So swiy really doesnt even have to travel in order to sample different types. He'd just have to have MS or a chronic pain disease, and then he could sample all of them legally (kidding!)

Apparently some trekking outfits in Northern Thailand will take you through villages where opium is consumed by locals (you might even see some poppy fields up close).

In Laos you can ask around Luang Prabang....

If your feeling real brave Burma, Afghanistan or Pakistan will surely hold lots of possibilities.

I recently saw a nice docu on dutch national TV, where they went with opium producers in afghanistan and filmed poppy fields, growers, how opium & heroin where made, filmed heroin or opium transporters on camels getting ambushed, shot at and killed. But I guess you'd prefer a tour which does not include getting shot at?

Forgot Burma. I've been there and it's very difficult to find it. It's seems to be governament business...not for us. But you can find in most of eastern Asia state Vietnam (matui in vietnamise language) Laos ,India(offim in indian language) etc. Try to avoid Thailand ,police don't accept money and you will go to jail. Nepal: no poppy field.

The "golden Traingle' (Thailand, Burma, Laos) is not what it used to be. You can certainly tour the Thai part, but you are unlikey to find opium any more and Thailand (as SWIA says) now executes 'drug dealers' (thanks to Thaksin). The Karen state in Myanamar/ Burma still produces opium, but as the govenemment is in the process of a miltary clamp-down on the area, it can't be safe!

Northern Laos used to a place where you could view opium fields and buy opium fairly freely, but that may have changed too in the past few years too.

Kinda of off topic...but SWIM was in amsterdam recently and he did not plan to do any hard drugs, it just happened. When SWIM and his freinds got a taxi th driver was cool and he offered to ge tus this and that. After 2 days we decided to give him a call for some CID..he said he needed to pick somehting up first, and swim though he was going to get robbed at this point..but he was paranod..SWIM went with him to a flat and there was a at least 2-3 kilos on a table of wrapeed black gooy substance swim asked if it was Opium and the guy replid niop that hash, he then walked ina back rooma nd put a kilo of anouther substance adn said "this is opium"..I gave him $200 euros and he gave swim more then he could have wished for!! It was a bag full and swim means full. SWIM has smoked real O before in the states and this was well words cant describe..SWIM and has 4 lab rats literlly smoked evry time we were in the room, we even took break to smoke during the day the last night we smoked and smoked and swim ended up flushing about 3/4 of the bag we were htinking about giving it away to some people tha tjust checked in but we changded are mind and had to flush..urghhh..SWIM was not even thinking about it when he got there, but glad he happened acroos it and swim wants more!! ohh yeah the the cid that SWIM got was green gel caps and they were bomb, very clean swim ate 2 and went site seeing SWIM seen Nazis everywhere at and around the Ann Frank House it was some scary shiit..
