Nightmares
One of swia recurring nightmares which boyo has had as well or one similar but not as freighting his seem to be. after bingeing on certain things or sometimes when swia is just sober.
I am alone in a theater, sometimes there is this old man watching as well sat a couple of rows away from me no one else is there yet it seems like it is and can hold a great deal many more people. On stage are these naked performers prancing or seemly dancing around waving there arms about screaming while laughing as well.they all appear eyeless or blacked out. while they are doing this there seems to be this merry go round music that seems to speed up as they run round faster and faster screaming in time with it... Then I wake up... its only dream but always the same nightmare i dont dream very often thou which is strange and they always seem vivid. |

I'm not known for interpreting dreams but, clearly Alicia, you are insane!
Of course you know, I’m just kidding.Dreams and nightmares are odd things indeed. The one thing I have noticed is that many different drugs will affect whether or not you have dreams often and remember them. Cannabis seems to make people not have many dreams or they just don’t recall them. SWIM noticed that Phenibut made him have very vivid dreams consistently. Other drugs like opiates and especially benzodiazepines have, upon withdrawal, given SWIM some of the most terrifying nightmares in his life. When SWIM was quite addicted to Xanax, several years ago, he ran out for 3 or 4 days and not only went through HELL while awake but when he did manage to fall asleep, he had nightmares that rival the worst “bad-trips” he’s had on any psychedelic (and he had been very experienced with psychedelics even back then). Not that this helps with the meaning of your nightmare… maybe we have a dream analyst in the house? |

When swim is in withdrawal from his effexor he wakes up in a state of complete delirium after a terrifying nightmare and stays liek that for about 3 minutes before coming to his senses. So it could be worse man.

swim is not in the state of mind to interpret dreams at the moment, but he will stay that opiates and opioids often cause nightmares (or even hypnogogic hallucinations) for their users, and that could well be whats behind it.

Quote:
They are out subconscious minds way of attempting, in its own abstract way, to bring up things into our conscious mind. Each persons subconscious has its own language, and the more familiar a person is with their own personal subconscious language, the more balanced a mind the person will have, they will have more ability to face the rough and smooth of life and take it all in their stride. The subconscious isnt rational, so dreams can seem like impossible to make head or tail of at first, but familiarising ourselves with our own abstract and irrational subconscious material, by some form of healthy relaxation and even keeping a dream diary will mean we soon get a feel for the workings of our own subconscious mind. Finding meaning from our dream content can be healing. You could ask yourself how you feel in the dream? What bits "get you" more than others? Relax and let your mind flow and find out what the main aspects of the dream mean to you. SWIM dosent keep a dream diary personally, but when they have done, it has helped them become more self aware, and helped to balance out any unconscoius negative behaviour. SWIM isnt saying the above is fact, but it is what SWIM can relate to most. |

Pretty weird sounding dream. SWIM doesn't really get nightmares as such, just bizarre dreams. This usually happens when he's trying to sneak in those extra few hours of sleep in the warm afternoons (SWIM's a lazy stoner that sleeps all day). He finds that these dreams can often be triggered by body temperature, sometimes what he's eaten, but usually the former. Say for example, if the afternoon is too warm, SWIM will get a weird dream possibly about something in his room which he sees in his half-slumber but interprets negatively in the dream world due to his physical discomfort. The same can happen if the room is too cold. If one happens to brush the duvet off their body when asleep, chances are their body temperature will drop and this may trigger an unpleasant dream.
Perhaps SWIY's nightmares are triggered by physical discomfort. SWIY should be vigilant of this. |
