Re: succesful Research Chemical combos/personal research
just getting into rc's so no combo experiences, but swim thought he would respond to the animal knowing question.
there is no doubt in swim's mind that animals know when your high. most likely the animal can smell that your high, by chemical changes in your body. animals have an amazing sense of smell, that a person could probably never really understand. swim is more of a dog person, but the following probably applies to cats as well. dogs can sniff out drugs, bombs, find lost people etc. dogs are currently being used in research to detect cancer in people long before medical science can detect it, and early research looks very promising. dogs have been used to alert people that they are about to have a seizure, giving the person enough time to eat, or take medicine and head it off. swim has read many places that dogs can tell how healthy & strong you are by smelling either your crotch or excretement, and probably alot of other info that we have no idea about. |

Re: succesful Research Chemical combos/personal research
Dogs can only smell out chemicals when they have been trained to do so.

Re: succesful Research Chemical combos/personal research
correct, but nowadays irrelevant. dogs arnt even being trained to sniff out chemicals anymore. they are trained to sniff out the plastic polymers in baggies and such to catch a wider spread of drug users and dealers. swim was told about this by a friend and had it confirmed by a police dog handler at a music festival he went to this summer. They are probably trained to also sniff out the major drugs like cocaine, heroin and cannabis, but can now catch all the eggs in one basket by sniffing out their containers. however, swim is unsure if this practiced anywhere other than the UK at the moment.

Re: succesful Research Chemical combos/personal research
If they sniff baggies, the simple solution is to encourage people to use them more carrying innocuous things - beads, earrings, herbs, glitter, etc. The possibilities are endless. And if you give everyone at music festivals badges or earplugs in baggies, sniffers will soon become useless. With their effectiveness very low at the moment, it is debatable whether to provide PC for a search. If they are only sniffing out legal plastic baggies, there will be no reasonable PC and all searches using sniffer dogs will be illegal. Hoorah!
