Would this still be helpful for a female coming off amphetamines? A female who does nat want muscle volumizing effects?

Re: Comedown... any tips from amphetamine fans?

Sometimes I use Adderall in the evening to lots of homeworks... but It's impossible to sleep after so I use this combo :

X amount of 85% Kava Kava paste extract
50mg Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride
100mg 5-HTP
3mg Melatonin
X amount of pot smoked
Calcium/Magnesium supplement

I have some Phenibut coming soon to add.

Wich this sleeping combo the anxiety of the come-down is gone and I'm knocked out to sleep and can sleep 12 hours really easy even if I did up to 60mgs of Adderall around 7 PM.

I don't recommend this sleep combo if u need to wake-up relatively soon (plan getting atleast 10 hours of sleep) cause u will be really asleep the day after.

You shouldn't take Melatonin if u plan going to sleep very late to avoid screwing ur circadian rhythm (well not sleeping at all is probably worse but oh well).

agree with sterling100, in fact, I like taurine better than creatine, cause it has less sides and helps with recovery a lot better, swim thinks.

Never heard of a calming effect of it, beside that it may take away the cramping and discomfort caused by this.... I will try, ´cause actually it´s the right time to.

Re: Comedown... any tips from amphetamine fans?

Swims has tried Xanax, Melatonan, excedrine pm's, alcohol, and weed. All of which helped and gave a couple good hours of sleep. Swim likes taking a few Xanax with a beer chaser, taking a warm shower, and listening to mellow music to ease into sleep... At times it was very successful. Results may vary on amounts and timing.

enough xanax to black swiy out. first gets the feeling better, then after a while, the needed sleep.
zopiclone...basically any downer will do, even hard liquer.
as swim's current habits of speeding these "escape" remedies help good.

I don't really want to promote opiate use but 10-20 mg of hydrocodone works great if your'e non-tolerant.

Tell swiy to try something novel, good nutrition. A protein shake always makes swim feel a whole lot better. Also, turkey has tryptophan that makes the superbowl an unwatchable event every year. A big glass of chocolate milk in a pinch works as well.

Re: Comedown... any tips from amphetamine fans?

Lostgurl, swim would agree with cocainetutorial, taurine isn't going to do anything for your muscles unless you're on a steady workout program. I wouldn't worry about gaining more muscle if you aren't trying to. When coming down, swim will usually take between 1-4 grams of taurine, then a protein shake 5 minutes later so the taurine won't be slowed down. The protein shakes are an easy way to get some food in your stomach, but the ones with carbs taste like ass.

SWIM likes fast acting carbs (e.g. glucose, corn syrup) when needing quick energy! For protein, a yogurt or glass of chocolate milk will be a hell of a lot cheaper than meal replacement shakes and likely just as good. Coming off amphetamines or cola is not the time for either big spending or 'get-in-shape' type pretentions.

hehe. one shake (you buy the powder and mix with milk) costs about 1.2$,.

EDIT: SWIm once when on a field trip with his class, and what they brung, was a bread the've made at school, and some cheese to the bread.

SWIM's bread was hard as a stone (LoL, he probably could have killed someone with it), so he had almost nothing to eat for 48hours. it was like shit-

Some do amphetamine for 48 hours, and eat little if nothing, but they don't feel hungry or tired, but their bodies are..
Fast carbs come and go, they help for a little while. But slow carbs (like the one you find in oakmeal) work for longer periods, and are more like a healthy meal which keeps SWIY full for many hours. But it's easy to get down despite not feeling like eating at all..

Re: Comedown... any tips from amphetamine fans?

SWIM finds the hardest part of coming off amphetamines is the anxiety (coupled with cravings). So although she is tired, taking less potent stimulants like caffeine just seem to increase her anxiety rather than lifting her energy. Would Taurine have a similar affect? Also SWIM has never had a problem eating, no weight loss from amphetamine use, so she really doesn't want weight gain coming off amphetamines.

SWIM found an energy drink called e2, but is unsure if this will help or hurt her anxiety levels. Will upload pictures if anyone can advise. Cheers.

Article: Foods That'll Give You Energy

Foods That'll Give You Energy

9 November 2006
New Zealand Fitness Magazine

What to eat and when to eat it, that is the question. Tuning into your body and listening to its needs can both boost your metabolism and fight fatigue.

The solution is to put protein on your plate and eat it before you need it. You wouldn't begin a road trip with no fuel in the tank, so why would you exercise with no food on board?

Try eating more protein at lunch and cutting back on starchy carbs like pasta and rice. When you're making a salad or sandwich, use vegetables rich in amino acids, such as tomatoes, peppers, spinach, onions and carrots, then layer in a user friendly pre-cooked protein like ham or tuna. The trick is to make meal preparation as efficient as possible, so it feels like a tasty reward versus hard work.

Snack food:
Snack often, but snack right. By snacking on the right foods at the right times, you'll keep your energy levels up all day. Because it takes your body two to three hours to break down the sugars in the food you eat, release them into your bloodstream and convert them into energy, gradual energy giving foods are the key. Grab an apple instead of that cookie, as fruit breaks down more slowly in the body, releasing a sustained dose of sugar into the bloodstream rather than one big hit that doesnt last.

Real eggs:
Eggs are a great source of protein, in addition to containing dozens of vitamins and minerals. Choose free range or organic eggs as they taste ten times better. Whole boiled eggs or omeletes make easy and almost instant meals.

Finger lickin' chicken:
Eat more chicken. Chicken is another excellent protein source; low in fat, quick to cook and easy to digest. Just make sure you vary your finger lickin' recipes as the human palate becomes bored with chicken very quickly. Have a good spice rack on hand and a George Forman grill to save you time.

Fish food:
Fish is one of the healthiest protein sources around. It's lighter than beef or chicken and its anti-inflammatory qualities are perfect for aiding recovery after a hard workout. Here's now much protein is in just one serving of fish: 90 grams of salmon contains 22 grams of protein and only seven grams of unsaturated fat.

Mighty milk:
Milk is convenient, inexpensive, full of vitamins and minerals and tastes good too. A cup of milk contains nine grams of protein plus eight essential amino acids, making it a complete growth repair kit for your body.

Super soy:
Soy provides anticarcinogenic benefits, promotes muscle growth and helps lower body-fat levels. Aim for 20 to 25 grams per serving about half a cup.

Canned food:
Many households nowadays rely on quick meals to fit in with their busy lifestyles, especially in families with both parents working. This is where canned food can become the healthy, hurried cook's best friend.

Combined with fresh food, canned foods can really speed up nutritious meal making.

•Canned spaghetti and the rice pudding are handy carbs.
•Stock up on baked beans as well as bean salad mixes. One cup of beans combined with one cup of rice delivers 19 grams of protein, complete in all essential amino acids.
•Canned meat and seafood are instant protein additions to salads, with tuna varieties perfect for lunch or as a snack.
•Supermarket shelves are lined with literally hundreds of cans of vegetables and canned fruit, all rich in vitamins and minerals and as instant as opening the can.

Article: The Benefits Of Good Nutrition

The Benefits Of Good Nutrition

2 October 2006
Health24

You can still hear your mother saying: "Unless you eat all your veggies, you'll get no dessert."

But why did your mother say that? The answer is simple: she knew that a balanced diet would keep you healthy. Take a look at the specific benefits of good nutrition:

Fuel to perform daily activities

Every single act performed by your body - no matter how small or mundane the task may seem - uses energy.

Proteins, fats and carbohydrates in food all contribute to the total energy pool of the body. But for the body to be able to use and conserve this energy, it also needs certain vitamins and minerals, which can be obtained either from foods or supplements.

A diet deficient in foods that supply energy, and the necessary vitamins and minerals to make this energy available, can lead to serious health problems, not to speak of starvation.

By ensuring proper energy, vitamin and mineral intake by means of the foods you eat, you'll provide your body with the necessary fuel needed to do all the tasks required to maintain life.

These include the production and maintenance of body tissues, the electrical conduction of nerve activity, the mechanical work of muscle effort, and heat production to maintain body temperature, among other functions.

Nutrients for the body's cells

The body functions by means of a very intricate set of systems that work in perfect synchronisation to make life possible.

All these systems, for example the cardiovascular, reproductive and respiratory systems, can be broken down to cellular level where hormones, enzymes and neurotransmitters are constantly interacting through complex processes to make your body function.

These processes are all made possible by the nutrients that we ingest every day. While certain nutrients can be produced by the body itself, we need to get many others through the food we eat.

A diet deficient in vital nutrients will soon lead to disease. By eating foods from a variety of different sources - both animal-based and plant-based - you will provide your body with the essential nutrients without which its cells cannot function.

Growth and repair of tissue

Just as builders need special materials to renovate a home, your body demands certain nutrients for its "construction zone": the growth and repair of tissue.

Good nutrition has the advantage that it ensures growth (during childhood and pregnancy), healing and the maintenance and build-up of muscle mass. For these essential processes to take place, the body needs energy, certain vitamins and minerals, but especially protein on a daily basis.

Protein (which also supplies 17 kilojoules of energy per gram) can be obtained primarily from animal products such as meat, eggs and milk. Most plant foods are relatively poor in protein, with the exception of legumes and beans.

Reinforcing the immune system

You can enable your body to fight disease more effectively with the foods you eat.

You probably already know that the vitamin C in oranges helps to ward off infection. This vitamin boosts immunity by increasing the production of B- and T-cells and other white blood cells, including those that destroy foreign microorganisms.

In a similar way, other foods and nutrients can play an immune-boosting role. The key is to optimise your intake of plant-based foods, such as fruit, vegetables, grains, nuts and legumes. Including more omega-3 fatty acids in your diet by eating more fish, while cutting down on your intake of saturated fat, is also important.

Probiotics (microbial foods or supplements that can re-establish the intestinal flora in your gastrointestinal tract) also seem to kickstart the immune system. Up your probiotic intake by eating more low-fat or fat-free yoghurt made with live AB cultures.

Preventing chronic diseases of lifestyle

Good nutrition can be used as a tool to combat chronic diseases of lifestyle.

Here, one of the most important steps is to achieve and maintain a healthy weight by following an energy-controlled diet. It is a well-known fact that obesity and overweight can lead to chronic diseases, like diabetes type 2, heart disease, hypertension, osteoarthritis, and some cancers.

Start by cutting out the saturated fats and added sugars. Also make a point of including more plant-based foods in your diet.

Plant-based foods generally have a lower fat content, are rich in fibre and are also excellent sources of phytochemicals. More and more research points to the protective properties of these substances that occur naturally in plants.

Maintaining good mental health

Diet can play an important role in thwarting the blues.

The most basic principle in preventing depression and mood swings, is to eat a balanced diet that contains foods from all the different food groups - fruit and vegetables, unprocessed grains and cereals, lean meat, eggs, milk and dairy products, legumes and nuts, poly- or monounsaturated margarine and oils.

Also make a point of including fatty fish, like salmon and tuna, in your diet. People who have an omega-3 deficiency are more prone to depression than those who consume adequate quantities.

A good diet, and sufficient intake of the omega-3s, can also help to prevent Alzheimer's disease in later life.

Ensuring healthy teeth and bones

A nutritious diet also ensures the health of your teeth and bones.

A balanced, calcium-rich diet - especially during your childhood, teen and early adult years - has the advantage that it will ensure an adequate peak bone mass throughout life. This will prevent osteoporosis in later life.

You can also ensure the health of your teeth by keeping a close eye on what you eat: snack on foods that hold less of a cavity risk, such as cheese, nuts, popcorn, and vegetables; limit your between-meal eating and drinking of fermentable carbohydrates, like sugary cool drinks; limit sweet treats to mealtimes; and drink a glass of water after every meal. - (Carine van Rooyen, Health24)

Re: Comedown... any tips from amphetamine fans?

SWIM has found out that a high dose of melatonine(~15mg) and a normal dose of GBL knocks SWIM out fast, and keeps him sleeping for the rest of the night, for at least 9 hours or more, and feeling refreshed the next morning.
Melatonine is a very strong anti-oxidant, which scavenges alot of the free radicals after amphetamine use, and which protects the body alot against cell damage, and it keeps SWIM asleep throughout the night.
If SWIM is correct, the GBL will raise the dopamine level which had been lowered by the amphetamine use, due to the dopamine rebound.
This makes SWIM feel refreshed alot the next morning.

SWIM recently discovered lower doses of pregabalin (Lyrica), i.e. 50mg or less. Seems to bring him down to baseline in an amazingly short period of time.

Hey, a couple of beers will do a great comedown. And its easily obtained - works like benzos, gives really really good comedown.

Re: Comedown... any tips from amphetamine fans?

Food!!! (nutrition shakes, yoghurt, generally anything that doesn't involve too much chewing)

Water water water water. (My parrot is convinced that stimulants "cut off" the ability to feel thirst.)

A massage (should you find anyone willing.... helps to deal with lactic acid build-up caused by muscles not having relaxed).

Parrot finds it is important to remind herself during a come-down that she is experiencing a come-down and that life will not always be so grim.

Side note- is it normal to experience REALLY bad vision, during the high but particularly during the come-down??

Re: Comedown... any tips from amphetamine fans?

As amphetamine depletes the catecholines, it seems most sensible to take the precursor to these, which is L-tyrosine. Swim consumes a fair bit of l-tyrosine when amped & afterwards. This week/weekend swim has consumed about 40 500mg l-tyrosine gelcaps from a popular health store, several multivitamins a day, 10 200mg 5-htp gelcaps (swim had a some mdma in there too) after an 85hr binge on freebase-amp, 14hrs of sleep & swim is fairly lethargic but mentally capable of functioning normally & feels OK. The most important thing is to eat when amped, lack of sleep & higher metabolism need energy. lack of food will just cause a really bad crash. Also lower alcohol intake, cos it does so little anyway...
