SWIM hasn't found too much info on propylhexedrine on the web (not surprising, given it's only used in one medication anymore), but Wikipedia appears to have conflicting information. On the main Benzedrex page they say:

Propylhexedrine is structurally similar to methamphetamine. The only difference is that the phenyl group of the methamphetamine molecule is swapped with a cyclohexyl group. It is because of this that propylhexedrine is not an amphetamine, nor even a phenethylamine.

*BUT* on the page for Benzedrine, they say:

When Benzedrine became a controlled substance, it was replaced by a less potent stimulant drug, Propylhexedrine (also known as Hexahydromethamphetamine).

Huh... hexahydromethamphetamine? So, is propylhexedrine an amphetamine or not? Or is it more a matter of semantics? SWIM is not a chemistry-head so he could be waaaayyyyy off on that latter assumption. Anyway, thanks for anyone who can clear this up (although SWIM is satisfied to assert that the propyl high *feels like* an amphetamine in most respects).
