Swim is going to thailand next year and really wants to try some of those yaba pills. Has anybody tried them and would they be considered more potent and euphoric than dexedrine ? Swim read that they are rapidly replacing x as the club drug ? Some info on this would be helpful.

Well if they're methamphetamine pills than they will certainly be more euphoric and stimulating than dexedrine as dexedrine is just the dextro isomer of amphetamine.

From what I have read and heard, Yabba is methamphetamine in a pill, but it is not meant to be taken, but crushed and smoked. It apparently has the same effects as smoking regular methamphetamine. Thailand isn't a place SWIY would like to get caught with drugs, especially this one. Read up on the laws in Thailand regarding possession of methamphetamine and you might just change your mind.

Maybe in America but you'd be very lucky for that to happen in Thailand. They are executing meth users who voluntarily admit themselves to rehab, no trial or anything.

WTF? sorry, but i have lived here in Koh Samui for 23 years of my 26 year life and this is absolute rubbish.. Thailand is now starting to admit it has the highest rate of meth abuse among its citizens in the world and is thereby ENCOURAGING rehab.. to do so will NEVER warrant a death sentence, this comes solely from being caught with more than 1000 pills, not 100, not 10, 1000... and even then, u gotta be known to the police for this type of crime, THEN, they will simply put a gun to ur head an pull the trigger, simply because u r viewed as a hazard to human existence. But if youre a tourist they wont do anything unless you smuggle it..A lot of american go there to party and im sure 90 percent of them do drugs and there hasnt been any case of an american being jailed or executed..The only foreigners that are gonna be executed are 2 australians that were smuggling a really large amount of drugs.. I think it's the other way around as in america you cant brive a cop because he will put you in jail but in those third world countries you can because they dont make a lot of money...

Gigan your completely wrong here, I can't understand why people post this unadulterated verbal diarrhea (Mine follows)

On one small Thai Island alone (Ko Change) up to 3 foreigners a month are jailed for smoking weed. Not life sentences but a few weeks or maybe a couple of months. I've never had the pleasure of visiting a Thai jail but I'm sure it is not a nice place to spend your holiday.

Furthermore Thailand is NOT a third world country.

I had the opportunity to go on a 3 day trek in northern Thailand, close to the Burmese border.

I stayed in two different towns over the two days, I mean it this was the middle of the jungle.

Very nice people and very welcoming, I was in a group of four tourists with a guide. The guide seemed to take to me and we got on well, we had a big bag of weed and he'd roll massive spiffs with banana leaves.

The day we got to the second town (pop. maybe 100) he invited me to stay at a locals house (There's mostly a shack with mattresses to accommodate passing tourists)

I stayed there for the night with a family and friends spending my night smoking opium lying down on a beautiful pillow getting my pipe lit and shoved with opium by a girl dressed like this:

The next day the guide told me I'd have to pay for the opium from the night before, he told me that the girl needed the money for yabba. I went to meet her in a shack and realised that she was a complete meth junkie. I gave her some money and a tip. I met a few people like this around that area, it was surreal to be in the middle of the jungle and meet people in tribal wear who were a complete addict, with the exact symptoms and behavior as you'd see on the streets of Sydney or on COPS.

I flew to Cambodia a few days later where I met with a prostitute who stayed with me for a few days, not that I really wanted her to but I was too much of a softy to tell her to fuck of. I'm not a sex tourist and it was pity more then anything else that I let her hang on while I was there.

She did however take me to places that the average tourist wouldn’t go to, a shanty town that she lived in for example.

On the last night she got me too tabs of yabba that I smoked back in the room. I never had ice before that but I now know what it was. Nice buzz but the next morning I was tweaked to fuck and about to leave to get a boat to a city up north. The girl started screaming, she wanted money and couldn’t speak English, all I had was Aussie dollars which I was trying to give her - a lot of, but she didn’t know they're value. She really freaked so I had to call the owners of the guesthouse and I left phenom peng wired and with my tail between my legs.

That was my one and only yabba experience, I can laugh at it now but Christ I didn’t that day.

theres no guarantee that they wont do anything. if its against the law, cops will have the option to arrest swiy. even if they dont normally arrest tourists for drugs, they potentially COULD. so swiy would have to carefully consider if he wants to run that risk.

Ingesting a whole Yaba pill is an awful lot like doing a buttload of Meth!

Good idea not to make any plans for the next 3-4 days and just stay inside or hang with friends as you might regret any other actions during your high once it wears off...and it's quite likely to make your "noodle limp" which is a pity in Thailand as there are always loads of ladies to bang.

Yaba is notoriously adulterated with any and everything. This seems to me analagous to saying "SWIM wants to go to the USA to sample the 'Ecstasy' tablets."

Very true radiometer, at least about the ecstasy! SWIM really doesn't know anything about yaba pills... Are they sold in shops? Or are they made by various people so the look different from other yaba pills? Kinda like ecstasy how they all look so different... SWIMS not sure

SWIF heard about Yaba pills from a friend who's been to Thailand, he said then contained Cocaine, Heroin and Methamphetamine. He said they were most enjoyable and were very intense.

He said he used drugs numerous times and sometimes police questioned it but he noted 4 occasions where he gave them the equivelant of 10 american dollers as a bribe and they simply turned the other way.

SWIF has no personal experience of Thailand and highlights this was only what someone said.

There might be some truth to Thai street cops being prone to "greenmail" when small amounts of narcotics are involved, but if your carrying such contraband through a border crossing or airport, or have a few kilos of whatever on you, then you deserve a few hellish years in a Thai prison as punishment for being a dumbass.

Yaba : The Info
Yaba is a composite word of two sub-words, Ya(Drug/Medicine) and Ba(Craziness/Madness). It was originally called Yama(Drug which gives horse-power) but was changed later on by the government's policy to discourage it from being used, nevertheless it seems not to affect much.

In the past, It is quite widely used among truck drivers and students to lengthen the wake cycle. After then the new law came out and classified Yaba as first list drug, which mean you can get executed if you possess in some (quite tiny) amount of it.

However, SWIM finds that Yaba is still one of the most fav drugs used in the market and can be found in the black markets everywhere. It comes into pills of many different forms, but mostly a round pill. (The WY logo info you have, is quite outdated) It may come in disguise as something like a Paracetamol pill, even! sometimes it is flavoured like candy (whoops? a strawberry taste yaba?!).

Price, AFASWIMK, the price of Yaba is not that expensive comparing to other drugs abused here in Thailand.

As for the composition : Yaba was originally means Amphetamine five-six years before, but the formulation was change to Methamphetamine as active ingredients, in both stereoisomer (Dextromethamamphetamine and Levomethamphetamine). And ANY OTHER RANDOM STUFFS may be found included, like caffein, morphine, heroin, cocain (rarely found). Sometimes SWIM often get report of some ouchies thingie, soap(wtf?), insecticides(ouch!).

Well, there are many grades of them, as SWIY does not stay here for that long so you might not notice the different from outside. but SWIM stays here and would be pleased if SWIY would like any other information.

Unlike a few south east asian countries you dont want to try that in thailand. Although some guest house owners and a few cafe's pay the police to stay away, you will be lucky to bribe a cop when caught in possesion. Probably just get bribery charges thrown in aswell.

the biggest danger with this drug is not getting busted, its getting hooked! believe me, its unlike anything else. i went all-out yaba crazy in laos a couple of years ago, so i think i'm equipped to say careful!

i'm usually quite controlled and have never got seriously addicted to any shit(and i've done all the usual suspects) but two weeks after my first hesitant whiff of the stuff, i was a genuine, bonafide raving wacko. i had lost the plot, was smoking 4 or 5 tabs per day, nearly got myself killed... my friends had to bundle me on a bus with a ticket to china to get me away from the stuff! (even then, i seceretly filled a packet of aspirin capsules the little bastards and smuggled it over the border with me... not wise moves!)

it took me a LONG time and serious mental knocks to get over it.

having said that, if i had the power to go back and choose differently, i would not. i know my stay was only temporary and so the consequences were minimised. jesus wept, if i lived out there i'd be a write-off that's for sure!

to be perfectly honest, i had possibly the fullest, happiest, most manically memorable two weeks of my life! i was genuinely the life and soul of every fuckin' party (and i'm usually fairly mongy) on top notch form night and day - i felt so clear, energetic and ALIVE as if for the first time ever... i thought i was the buddha himself! looking back though, there were downsides even when i was up on it. i had no concern for my safety as i and thought i was invincible... i'm lucky to be around still. also, i had a couple of stints of extreme emotional swinging... crying and tantrumish behaviour etc, also uncharicteristic of myself.

anyway, i recommend it to those of you travellers who know they'll be leaving it far behind them some time soon. i've seen first handwhat happens to people who've done it for months; completely packed in. no mind. no hope. its easily as dangerous as smack and crack and this is what you NEED to bear in mind before you go plunging into any crazy drug madness! good luck!

SWIM likes it but SWIM advice is do it there and be carefull. Get it from hookers safest way. And stop doing it when you get back home.Yaba is meth with caffeine and some kind of binder. SWIM has been to thailand three times first two times he had his thai girlfriend with him. She took him away from Amsterdam to try to get him away from yaba, Sounds funny I know but SWIM was out of control in Amsterdam and she was in control in Thailand. When SWIM went last month he bought ten yaba in Bangkok from a friend of the porter he smoked six and went out looking for night club. SWIM met up with a tuk tuk driver and smoked about five with him. SWIM felt fucked for some time and went to Pattaya he found it hard to find any, Untill he met a working girl. SWIM got on well and she could get him as much as he liked.. Also she took him to her friends and SWIM smoked ICE for the first time. Any way tuk tuk drivers can sell you yaba then phone the police so can other people! SWIM felt save with the girl. All SWIM wants to say be careful in Thailand and if get caught pay the bribe if you can!! Bangkok hilton doesn't sound like fun.

one of swims mates whom is a user of meth, was in pattaya not long back. he said you get those little red fuckers off the trannie's.

one word of advice according to him, KEEP AWAY FROM THEM. he reckons they are nothing like the stuff in oz. he say's they are really impure. and the comedown is a bitch, but the worst thing according to him is the paranoia is 10 fold.

oh and if you stupid ernough and do find em keep under 5, at least you'll only do 25 years in a shiity prison and not get death (but thats if you plead guilty)
