Purity - Verifying it's LSD before purchase?

alright here is a question. Say somone were to buy like a sheet or even just a 10 strip. how would that person be sure that it was real b4 handing someone all there money and that person runnin off.

dont buy off the street. thats dangerous territory, especially with all the RCs being passed off as lsd these days. theres probably a reagant or test that one could do to detect if its lsd, but these arent the kind of things that one can perform right on the street. swiy's best bet would be to use a trusted source who would let swiy perform the necessary analysis before purchasing. some of the other members here could likely give a better answer than swim though.

the only problem with all that is swim has no reliable sources. the last source swim used swim got really powerful product, but the after afects swim was sick for another 12 hours on top of the trip. it sucks in a big city swim cant find any sources.

hm, 12 hour sickness sounds like an RC to swim. he's not heard of people experiencing that after acid, according to swim's admittedly small knowledge of the drug.

swim hates to say it but with no reliable sources there will be no guarantee swiy will not get bunked or worse yet dosed with something else swiy isnt prepared for. maybe swiy should hold off on looking for acid until he has met some decent sources.

if it glows under a blacklight, you might have acid. better said: if it DOESN'T glow, than you know you DON'T have acid.

if the tab is bitter you don't have acid.

One could take a half hit (or even a quarter), and come back to one's Man after a few hours if one feels the effects. The only reliable way, in my opinion.

Two words: Ehrlich's reagent.

This won't rule out other tryptamines (such as the dreaded 5-MeO AMT), but if you've got a 1/4" square that tests positive with Ehrlich's (as opposed to a big honkin' blotter 1" square) you've probably got LSD. If someone's buying a sheet, the dealer should have no problem comping a tab for testing (or at least selling for peanuts). If the dealer balks, someone should tell him to take a hike and find a better dealer.

there were a few good answers in the group, the black light test, and of course try it first. If the sheet tears apart like postage stamps, thats good too. And it should have no taste at all. if it's real strong maybe a slight chemical taste on your tounge, but not very noticable. And yes any good supplier will have no problem letting you sample the product if you are buying a quantity

Swim always had a distinct metallic taste after hitting even a quater of a cartoon, so this might be a decent marker.

Some papertrips don't taste like anything at all, while some might be a bit bitter, this different in taste might be caused by impurities.
As long as they aren't very bitter, it's safe, but if they're very bitter they might contain DOx instead of LSD, and taking doses assuming it's LSD could lead to a very nasty trip.

Swim meant the taste is not the taste of the paper, but a sign of the acid kickin´ in, also when having a flash-back (which he enjoys, really), that taste occures, like the metallic taste after anaesthesia, post surgery, but not in your throat but in/nearly on the middle of swims tongue.
