Subjective - Kratom vs. poppy straw tea?

SWIM is curious if there are any opinions out there: Suppose in theory somebody was going to choose between occasional (twice/week) use of either (A) Poppy straw tea, or (B) Kratom, say the 15x powder.

SWIM assumes poppy straw tea can be unpredictable due to thebaine content, hard to gauge dosage etc. while kratom is quite a bit more predictable... but on average, which might be more euphoric/enjoyable? Assuming of course that in either case, usage was kept well below levels that became problematic long-term.

From SWIF's experience he found Poppy staw tea more euphoric and enjoyable than kratom. It was more towards the usual feelings he had felt with other pharmacological opiates as oppose to Kratom which has a slightly differant feel. That said Kratom does have euphoric properties also, it's difficult to give a straight answer as it depends on personal taste.

Hmm, that's a fairly uncommon opinion... most who try a decent dosage of potent kratom are pleased with the effects, including those who have done "real" opiates in the past. Not to say SWIY's opinion is invalid, but maybe it's a case of not enough or a bad batch.

Anyway, SWIM has read too many horror stories about poppy tea at this point, and is probably not gonna bother with it. The difficulty of estimating proper dosage from a given batch of pods isn't encouraging either.

honestly, kratom feels more like tramadol to swim than a true opiate, but he is going to give it another shot anyway. nicaine, swiy poses a very interesting question that swim hopes to answer for himself this month. he's only tried the seed tea before, with very marginal borderline effects. now, he is sure there was some alkaloids in the tea since it had stopped his withdrawals, but he wasnt too impressed. he'd imagine the pod tea would be even better, and would likely surpass kratom. but he'd like to give kratom another trial run since he thinks he got a bad batch in the past.
