Penetrating Porcelin

Whats tha best way to penetrate a porceline bottle? Hammer + Nail is making slow progress plus Im afriad itll brake, and when I heated up a glass bottle with a torch lighter it flat out shattered. Will porcelin shatter when exposed to too much heat or wil it melt?
