GHB Newbie

hi this is my first post so please be nice . would just like to say great forum here and very helpful people. anyway abut my friend he has been using drugs for about 5 years and would like to try GHB. he got some of a guy once but it was a thick syrup like substance with a green tint he decided not to take it ( he likes drugs but doesnt want to be poisioned) looooooooooool. He has looked into the legality of gbl in the uk and it seems that its totally legal to own in the uk. However the problem arises when he is looking for the other ingredient of sodium hydroxide or lye, red devil lye has now been discontinued so thats out the question, however sodium hydroxide i just cant seem to find thought it would be in our local DIY store . my mate has read through past posts about sodium hydroxide and it gets mentioned about food type or medical type sodium .. my mate found some caustic soda which is sodium hydroxide at our DIY shop but would this be safe????? its for drains so mate dont really want to use that if its gonna rip his insides out.. loooooooool.

Caustic soda should be what you want, you want as close to 99.9999% pure as possible. Barring that you can also use baking soda which is easy to get in any grocery store. Look up the baking soda synth.

many thanks psyki will pass all this information on to my mate. he thinks that the caustic soda is 99% pure so may go down the baking soda route however he has heard that this makes the ghb alot weaker than the sodium route. and psyki thanks again mate will be reading up on the baking soda synth more homework for him
