Diazepam and anxiety

I suffer from social anxiety and I realy dont function well in places like nightclubs and pubs or big partys.

But I would like nothing more then to be able to relax and enjoy myself and dance in such places. I hate myself for always just sitting in a corner afraid to do anything cause of the social anxiety.

I have no prescription for benzos but I can get aholf of stesolid(Diazepam). What would be a good dosage to takeif I want to useit as aparty drug?

I know its dangerous as hell to mix benzos with alkohol. But what about benzos and amphetamines? Considering benzos is a downer I guess it could wreck havoc on the heart and cns in combination with speed but have to ask to be sure.

I would reccomend going to your docter and describe your social anxiety. He will most likely give you setraline (zoloft) which, in time, should help you.

What you are proposing sounds dangerous, mixing drugs.

Zoloft did nothing for me. I would reccomend xanax, starting at .25mg. It relaxes you, makes you feel calm and good, with an almost euphric feel to it. I have never been into speed, other than the black beaties and crosstops back in the day. I much prefer the slow ride. SO I wont be able to help in that regard. Someone else will be able to jump in here.

As far as the diazapam goes, You want to start with the smallest reccomended dose.

maxmoe I want to stay as far away from ssri's as possible. I have been on one and it made my life a living hell!!

everyone around me that takes ssri's seems to at first be happier but then the effect gradualy disaperes and then they are just as unhappy and addicted to the crap.

I was on remeron and it made me into a robot. When I quit it cold turky I first thought I was going nuts when all the feeling came back and I started to be able to think fast and sharp again. Remeron dulled my mind and removed all joy from my world. I dont think I laughed once during the months I was on it

That is one of the bad effects of ssri's. While they do combat depression, they also leave you void of many emotions. Just sort of neutral all of the time.

thadj is a decent SWIMmer.
Benzo's + Alcohol = NO WAY

It's dangerous to combine them and before you know you die choking in your own vomit. Or, in the case you dont die, people tell you about how you made a fool of yourself, of which you dont remember a single thing.

As to your anxiety problem. I'd look around for professionals that can help you, there's lots of people out there. Finding out how you became anxious in certain situations is important for you and for you healing. Good luck!

If benzo-naive SWIM wouldn't take 10mg: Poster will be fucked and may regret actions later.

If just to deal with anxiety: 2mg (less if any alcohol involved) if looking for recreational value (no alcohol your first time) try 5mg. Simply because you never know how things will go. You can always take a little more (several hours later, coz for SWIM Valium always takes a while to have peak effect). Think about addiction potential, benzos aren't a long term solution for social phobia: Best results are with therapy, either CBT (Cognitive/Behavioural) or interpersonal psychotherapy (although not for everyone).

well recreational dose start low and adjust, start five (if 10mg tablets your choice) a glass of wine or a beer or two and cannabis and crack is all i've mixed diazepam with and i'm fine, but read and check things out. alc and upper and downer isn't healthy though, it's dangerous.

to each their own, be safe.

Diazepam for anxiety

I am new to browsing and posting to the forum so a Hi to everyone!

A friend recently tried fairly low dosage of diazepam (valium) during a weekend - 10mg for the Saturday followed by 5mg for the Sunday. This was to relieve abnormally high stress. The diazepam was obtained via another friend's partial prescription for dental surgery nerves. The effects of the controlled use were extremely positive and helped him tackle a difficult time.

He understands the short term nature of the substance and its warnings, sees this as something that may help his nerves in the future, but is understandably apprehensive about obtaining via online pharmacies. Are these companies safe or is there a better way to buy without prescription?

Comments appreciated and I hope the question is within the community boundaries.

Re: Diazepam for anxiety

it lasts about 20 hours, how is that short term? 10 mg wouldnt even effect an average sized adult male IME.

To clarify - by short term, I mean that the drug has always been recommended for 'short term' use and can cause big dependancy problems over time, not the duration of the effects.. Low dosages can take an edge off stress.

Re: Diazepam for anxiety

Benzos are made to kill anxiety. though one with a longer half life like klonopin would be better for long term treatment of it.
