Scariest Salvia divinorum trip SWIM's had...
SWIM and SWIMs friends have a habit of doing drugs and watching a newgrounds animation called "The Gnome: LSD" (usually on shrooms and LSD). They had just smoked 2 gs of salvia in a day, so the next day, they all decided to make their last hits something to remember, so they got 4 different bongs, all packed in pretty big bowls of 20x salvia d, hit them and as they were holding it in, SWIM pressed the "Play" button
http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/271843 ... SWIM saw patterns form on the gnomes face and then got sucked into the black abyss. She couldnt really see the matter shooting forwards because they were black too. She looked at the girl beside her, and knew that she was in the same place. SWIM and her talked about it after and she did indeed see the same thing as SWIM. All SWIM remembers is staring at her friend and saying, "We need to get out of here!!" which isn't the usual thing for SWIM to do when she's on it (try to get away). SWIM collapsed onto the bed with her face in the blanket, SWIM saw herself as a puzzle piece falling into the puzzle and landing in the right place, in between everyone. SWIM doesn't even know what everyone else did, SWIM was just terrified. If you watch the video you'll know what I mean. That was the MOST terrifying experience EVER. I swear to GOD. SWIM has done enough salvia but that blew her socks off. I don't know what compelled her to do it, although it was kind of stupid, she's in a way glad she did it (it was the first time she realized that when you do salvia at the same time as someone else, and look at them, and they look at you, you know that you guys are seeing the same thing on eachother, if you know what I mean.) yes, they had two sitters but SWIM couldnt see them from where she was sitting |

SWIM found that video very interesting. He is not sure if he would dare watch it while going under the influence of any hallucinogenic or entheogenic drug though. Also, interesting experience.
SWIM has read several "scariest trip ever" posts. While a few of them do indeed sound scary, many of them don't sound scary at all. People describe a trip, everything sounds fine, and then all of a sudden they jump to "we need to get out of here!" or "and it was terrifying!". What was so terrifying? Do puzzles frighten SWIY in "real life"? Does being with SWIY's friends frighten SWIY? SWIM suspects that many of these trips are not frightening because of the content of the experience, but because the person's mind is not really subconciously capable of handling the trip - a fear defense mechanism kicks in, in response to the unknown, and THAT is what makes it frightening. The person, not the trip itself. SWIM believes that if a person smokes Salvia in a good environment, is happy with the person he/she is, and is prepared to truly surrender themselves, then they will very rarely have a frightening experience. What do other SWIYs think about this theory? Though, on a side note, that video could be pretty creepy during a trip, by itself. Last edited by lltphoenix; 26-08-2006 at 08:21. |

If swiy would like a good description of what its like to enter into a bad trip (albeit with shrooms not salvia) check out the second trip report in this thread ---> http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/sho...d.php?p=174659 |

Hehe. The scary part for SWIM was that there was a gnome, and he was eating, sleeping, and drinking his wine. Usually the video is pure enjoyment for SWIM (SWIM has watched it on coke, shrooms, E, acid... shrooms is the best one) but on salvia it seemed to bring her to that black abyss, all she could see was her friend, the computer, and the video playing. SWIM didn't know what was happening, and the fact that the screen kept changing scared her because she saw one thing, and as soon as she figured out what it was it changed (but it all happened so fast SWIM had no time to grasp herself)
SWIM recommends watching it on LSD

Actually SWIM did think that video would be fun to watch on shrooms or LSD. SWIM loved that song. However, SWIM does not want to try LSD, and Shrooms are very hard to get down here. You can get decent, almost completely seedless shake-free weed for only $90/oz, but shrooms are so uncommon, that even if SWIM could find them, he would not trust their authenticity and "safety".

SWIM has now had 3 experiences with Lady Sally. Sally does not seem to like SWIM very much. The sense she got was that she was held by her ankles and hands, then pulled slowly. There just happened to be a sharp piece of aluminum or stainless steel plate that SWIM was being stretched across, dragged across. SWIM is somewhat sad, because she really wanted very much to like Sally and be liked in return. But such is not the case. This imagery of being pulled has been a cornerstone of all 3 trips to visit Sally. From the last visit, SWIM came away quite certain she now knew intimately how Twizzlers licorice was extruded into those long, thin pieces.
If the adage holds true that there is something for everyone, then reverse seems true as well. Sally is not for SWIM. |

Sally isn't for SWIM either, SWIM did it a couple of times, smoking 10x extract and the effects he got where certainly not pleasant.
It wasn't overwhelming or anything, but SWIM just felt schizofrenic, and the last time it just knocked SWIM out, and once he came back to earth he didn't now where he was. But many people don't seem to enjoy Salvia, and SWIM has much better hallicunogens than Salvia. |

Re: Scariest Salvia divinorum trip SWIM's had...
SWIM saw the gnome video after reading the first post -
it was a little strange for SWIM. But to add to SWIM's excitement for the evening, he went to the FLASH page on that site, selected a different video to watch, then got a VIRUS and couldn't close the window without a new one popping up to replace it. Oh well, life goes on. lltphoenix : Yes, SWIM agrees with you. SWIM thinks that one's Sally experience is largely a product of one's environment, and to an even larger extent, to one's state of mind when beginning the experience. For example, SWIM knows someone with Panic Disorder. Immediately SWIM expects that he would NOT get along well at all with Sally. However, he only visits Sally when he is in a happy mood, in a comfortable environment, and he always tells himself that he is about to go to a very fun and interesting place. Despite his condition, he always has pleasant visits with Sally. He loves to visit new and unusual places, and looks forward to whatever it is Sally wants to show him on any given visit. When she starts to take him somewhere that looks strange, suspicious, or scary, he has already prepared himself mentally to expect something "out of this world," and he told himself ahead of time that no matter WHERE she trys to take him, he will go willingly, and he will know that everything will turn out OK. As a result of his preparation, literally 100% of his visits with her have been positive ones. ("Mind over matter" is not just a "saying" it is a very powerful reality.) Later Seven |
